Is there a supernatural or spiritual world?

With so much emphasis today on things unseen, it makes one wonder if there truly is a world that is unseen by humans. Are there really ghost and if so do they actually hang around in houses, museums and ancient restaurants? Are these ghost or paranormal entities influencing people, places and things?

If we were to ask one hundred people these questions we would possibly get one hundred different answers depending on their culture, traditions and of course their religion or lack of.

But to truly get an idea to the answer we must first turn to the worlds oldest known book the "Bible". Let's first talk about an unseen world, does it exist? The Apostle Paul states in 2 Cor.4:18 'While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.' The apostle implies that there is an unseen world that can not be seen and that this world last forever. Now Jesus said in John 4;24 "God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality)." Amplified Bible Here Jesus is telling us that God is a spiritual being. Does that make him a Ghost? In a way it does because the Holy Spirit is the spirit of God in the earth realm. But when we read the account of the creation in the book of Genesis we see that God gave them (man) dominion over the earth realm so that makes the operation of spirits in the earth illegal. Only a flesh and blood body possessing creature can have control of this earth. Thus for any spirit to operate in the earth it must possess a body.

So what about ghost influencing people? Once again lets look at our authority on the subject. In the book of Luke Jesus tell this disciples ' When the unclean spirit is gone out of man, he walketh through dry places seeking rest; and finding none he saith I will return unto my house whence I came out. And when he cometh he findeth it swept and garnished. Then goeth he and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in and dwell there and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Lk 11:24-26

No where in the scripture do we find a place that states these spirits are hanging around houses or other inanimate objects but every time a spirit is mentioned it is mentioned in regards to being in a person. So yes there is a supernatural unseen world with unseen spirits good and evil.
