It Is Time to Look at Yourself

Updated on September 1, 2020

It is now the perfect time to have a closer look at ourselves as we see from daily life how everything is deteriorating. As we get older we become more aware of the state of the earth, from what was before to now. We can definitely see something is wrong.

It is time to take a closer look at your life! We are living in a quick fix society where everything can be fixed or bought. Corruption is the order of the day.

Anything goes and people are not even shocked by things that would have been world news ten years ago. Many people just don’t care. They don’t love and are Just plain rude. Sex is cheap, freely given and moral values are down the drain. Children of 12 can have abortions. Drugs are freely accessible, according to your taste. Rebellious children roam our streets and kill and rape as far as they go and if a mother speaks out, she is silenced by her own son.

We have become dull and blinded by our laziness. We have become too dumb to see…or we have fallen into the “Denial Syndrome” where we see, but it does not register. We see the evil of mankind but it is as if as long as it does not touch me, I am ok…

We see that nature has gone “Hay-wire”. Everyday is getting worse than the day before. We must be blind not to see that things are drastically wrong on this earth and with our human race and it is getting worse by the hour.

Can it be true that the Bible is speaking to us, that the Prophets of old could be right in their prophecies? That we are heading for total disaster? The end of the World!

If so, where do I stand in all of this? What is going to happen to me and my family?

So what does the Bible tell us in these times.

John 9:31: We know that God does not listen to sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing {and} a worshiper of Him and does His will, He (God) listens to him. (AMP)

We all know the sin and woe and misery in this world all too well.

As we know there is an war between darkness and light, sin and righteousness, wrong and right, death and life.

In our heart of hearts we know it, and know that we are participators, actors, in this conflict. There is no demilitarized zone in the spiritual war that is raging behind the scenes. We need to pick a side and make a stand.

There comes a time in everyone’s life that we realize this and long to know more.

We are born on this earth, into sin and that makes a gap between God and man. We need to make this right by taking the way out that God has provide for us.

It is now time to come in right standing with God.

We need a Saviour to do that?

Saviour from what, will you probably ask?

We have to be saved from ourselves, sin and the second death that the bible is talking about.

We see clearly in the Bible; No sin (unclean person that is not washed by the blood of Jesus, “non repentant heart”) can enter into God’s presence (or Heaven). Jesus is the only one that can do that by washing away all your sins with His blood. He was and is the only acceptable offer that God the Father will accept in your sinful place.

The process can begin when you repent from your sin and wicked ways.

Can and will Jesus forgive all my sins?

What is sin? Sin is when we do not obey God’s word the bible and His commandments, or when we simply just get it wrong.

We all know what sin is and it is your conscience telling you, for example if you lie to someone, that it is wrong.

But I have committed unthinkable sins; you may answer. Yes, Jesus will forgive and cleanse you if you truly repent and if you ask Him to. He will wash you from all your sin. It does not matter how big your sin, He is capable of forgiving and cleansing you.

We as mankind ran away from God when we sinned, but we are suppose to run to God for healing and restoration.

If you have never made Jesus your saviour, your relationship with God the Father is broken; a gap that can only be mended, through Jesus’ work on the cross.

Yes God is talking to you.

Yes! God is talking to you!

The devil is a liar and he wants to tell you and me that there is no sin or when we sin, God hates us; but God hates sin, not mankind. God loves you! The devil hates mankind because we are made in God’s image, and we are getting a second chance!

“Where your attention is focused, your energy will flow”.

Where is your attention focused? Money, sex, lust for power or the will of God? Focusing on the things of this world only brings death.

If we focus our attention on God, our time and energy will be spent on Him and His Kingdom and not on sin.

“Your attitude will determine your altitude”. God has a yearning and a longing for a closer relationship with us, His creation.

The love of God is unconditional. He loves us deeply. God cannot enter into this close relationship with us if there is still unconfessed sin in our lives.

Those who truly walk in the fear of the Lord will not intentionally commit sin, but when they sin, they will repent and turn away from their sins to be saved. How do I repent, you ask? The word repent means “to turn away from“. So you turn away from the action of sin and walk in the opposite direction. > You do what is right.

The devil and his followers can’t do this and they do not have a savior to save them from calamity and death, but we have.

Don’t waste this chance, it may be your last chance to reconcile with God, through Jesus Christ, the Saviour. So repent from your sin today and turn to God and be saved.

We all see these terrible things happening on the earth such as floods, fires, storms, hunger war, inhumane acts, etc. We know from the Bible that God IS TALKING TO US. He is telling you and I that His Son, Yeshua (Jesus) is coming back to the earth to establish a Unshakable Kingdom. Are you ready to face Him?

God is waiting for you to come and talk to Him and to share all your joy, pain, sorrow, needs and even share the everyday and little things with Him, because He cares for you.

IN Him we will be saved even if our earthly bodies perish in the destruction of the earth.

How will I be saved? Go read the forgotten Word of God “the Bible” in Romans 10:9 and 10 for the answer to this burning question.

God saved me!

Repentance:

This act will leads you to God to be saved.

“What is repentance and is it necessary for salvation?”

Many understand the term repentance to mean “turning from sin”, which it is. But it is not only that.

The biblical definition of repentance, means “to change one’s mind.”

The Bible also tells us that true repentance will result in a change of actions (Luke 3:8-14; Acts 3:19). Acts 26:20 declares, “We should repent and turn to God and prove our repentance by our deeds.”

The full biblical definition of repentance is a change of mind that results in a change of action.

The word “Repent” means:

“You are turning 360º degrees around on your path”. You are now going in the opposite direction. The word repentance also means to buy a slave’s freedom - “to buy out”.

How to repent?

This is the most important question you will ever face in your life!

Your reaction to this message will have an impact for eternity; it will determine whether you go to heaven or hell.

People asked Peter in “Acts” that same question, “how do we repent”. Let us see his answers!

Acts 2:38-39: And Peter answered them, Repent (change your views and purpose to accept the will of God in your inner selves instead of rejecting it) and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of and release from your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise [of the Holy Spirit] is to and for you and your children, and to and for all that are far away, [even] to and for as many as the Lord our God invites and bids to come to Himself. [Isa. 57:19; Joel 2:32.] (AMP)

So he said that we must be baptized into Christ so our sins could be removed and that we could receive the Holy Spirit.

The most powerful word any human can speak is the name of Yeshua (Jesus). The second most powerful words, are “I believe,” (if it comes from the heart, cried out to God almighty).

So in that mindset let us see what the word says and exactly how to repent!

The Bible is very clear on this:

Romans 10:8-11: What it says is this: “God’s message is near you, on your lips and in your heart”—that is, the message of faith that we preach. If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from death, you will be saved. For it is by our faith that we are put right with God; it is by our confession that we are saved. The scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.“(GNB)

Romans 10:9: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thin heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved.

Romans 10:13: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved? (NKJ)

  • We do not have to do strange things to come to God (to be saved), like offering animals or their blood, as they did in the Old Testament and as some religions and traditions still do. We come as we are, with our sin and all.
  • The word of God came near; it is on your lips and in your heart. You do not have to buy it; only use faith to live and believe in it.
  • Your faith will be seen as righteousness unto your salvation.
  • First you must confess (out loud with your mouth and truly believe) that Jesus is Lord,
  • And you must then believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
  • You must also believe that God the Father raised Jesus from the dead.
  • You must invite Jesus to come into your heart (life) and save your soul.
  • You must confess all your sin; and then ask Jesus to forgive your sin and to wash you whiter than snow, with His blood. (You must believe this, and it will happen in the spiritual realm with your soul))
  • Forgive everyone that has sinned against you. That is very important, because God can only forgive you, if you forgive others.
  • Forgive yourself for all that you have done wrong. (Most people have a problem here, but if God the Father has forgiven you, how can you not to forgive yourself).

You need to pray the above verse Romans 10:9-10 out loud, with your mouth, aloud so that people and the spiritual world can hear you. You have to believe in your heart, that God raised Jesus from the dead. Then and only then are you saved from eternal death and hell. It is only by believing in Jesus as the Son of God that we can be saved.

Why do we have to hear you say that aloud? It is to have a witness in the flesh (here on Earth) as well as to have a witness in the Heavenlies (the spiritual realm), that you accept Jesus as your Saviour!

This proccess sometimes poses a problem for some people because they cant or don’t want to pray or speak in public.

Remember this is a matter between life and death.

Ask God and He will give you the strength and boldness to take this step. I urge you to be strong and to take this step in faith. Some will argue that they have no sin, but we all have sin.

The Bible says something amazing happens up in heaven when you do this. Your name will be written in the book of life and the angels of God will rejoice and celebrate with you, for your salvation and you will have peace.

1 John 5:1: everyone who believes (adheres to, trusts, and relies on the fact) that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah) is a born-again child of God; and everyone who loves the Father also loves the one born of Him (His offspring).

John 1:12:Some, however, did receive him and believed in him; so he gave them the right to become God’s children. (GNB)

John 1:12:But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name (NKJ)

That was easy; so you are now a reborn-child of God, I hope!

Jesus now calls you brother or sister, because you are family. Yes! You are now a part of the Family of God.

We call that act (after you have accepted Jesus and are washed with the blood of Jesus) redemption, or in Greek “Apolutrosis”.

Important:

It is crucially important that we understand repentance is not a work we do to earn salvation. No one can repent and come to God unless God pulls that person to Himself (John 6:44).

Someone have prayed for you, The Spirit of God has helped you to read here, so to be pulled into the Grace of God.

Acts 5:31 and 11:18 indicate that repentance is something God gives—it is only possible because of His grace. No one can repent unless God grants repentance.

All of salvation, including repentance and faith, is a result of God drawing us, opening our eyes, and changing our hearts. God’s longsuffering leads us to repentance (2 Peter 3:9), as does His kindness (Romans 2:4).
