Journey Back To Eden: The Fall of Woman Pt 3

“And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be DESIRED to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat” Genesis 3:6

FRUIT UNTO DEATH:

The call of the Holy Spirit is so rich in the heart of the hungry and thirsty soul; yet it is clear to me that everyone is not positioned to hear what the Spirit says unto the church (the inner soul, that blessed Holy Place within). I long daily for the Holy Spirit to blow upon the chaff of wood, hay, and stubble; enabling me to be a partaker of the garment that is not spotted with the flesh. It truly weighs upon my heart to see that so many of us carry on as if the Holy Spirit does not matter as the pivotal part to bring us unto Christ. The Holy Spirit has been reduced to merely a “good feeling” a sudden rash of uncontrollable emotion, when in fact He is so much more to us; and desires to be so much more within us. I often think of the catchy phrases used to turn people on to the Holy Spirit, such as “Catch the Spirit,” I certainly mean no disrespect here, however, how does one catch the Spirit? Do we put on a glove and wait for God to pitch from the highest heaven this blessed empowerment, or do we put on our tennis shoes and go at break neck speeds to run down this Holy Spirit?

No my friend, we do neither of these things, instead, we simply receive the Holy Spirit who has been assigned the greatest of missions in all the workings of the trinity: HE IS TO BRING US!

When we investigate ever so closely the dramatic scenery of the woman (the soul) and her interaction with the serpent (THE ORIGINAL DEVIL), we soon discover that the woman opened herself up to the wrong spirit. Even in this day and time, there are so many that open themselves up to the wrong spirit, a spirit that slithers in the souls of men, whispering eat of this tree, the very one that God said not to eat of. In this account between the woman and the serpent, there is so much to share, so much to unravel. This account has as much to say to us now as it then way back then. The TREE OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL is a divine picture of something at work within every man of innocence as well as those who operate under the law of sin and death. This tree, by appearance and deception became a TREE TO BE DESIRED (Gen.3:6). The woman was engaged with what the tree seem to represent, not knowing or accepting that it was A TREE OF DEATH, yielding THE FRUIT UNTO DEATH.

The Whisperer was wooing the woman into the realm of greater carnality, influencing THE MOTIONS OF SIN (Romans 7:5) within her every impulse. The woman was being taunted to give in to her cravings; unfortunately for her, it was not worthwhile, there was absolutely no life in this tree. How often is the soul whispered to, to follow after something that offers no sustaining life, yet it seems to shout out unto the inner cravings saying, “I AM A TREE TO BE DESIRED?” How many have craved after a person, place or thing, only to find out that it harbored within itself FRUIT UNTO DEATH?

This is the case with THE TREE OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL; the soul is captivated by the inner whisperings of death to pursue death. The TREE OF LIFE, was also in the middle or midst of the Garden, yet, the woman is not called to this tree, for this tree must be sought after in a different manner, this tree requires the full affection of the partaker to approach it in LOVE (agape: to love dearly).

Love is the bonding agent needed to compel us to go after the Beloved Bridegroom with complete surrender to His will over our own. We must SET OUR AFFECTION on Him, even on THINGS ABOVE in that glorious dimension of the spirit, empowering us to commit our will unto Him, that the TWAIN will become one in purpose, in truth and in expression.

Too many of us give in to the Whisperer, defying the commandment of the Lord, “THOU SHALT NOT!”

NOT IN THE OLDNESS OF THE LETTER

Genesis’ account of Adam and the Woman in the Garden, even the Woman’s fall from innocence is far more than some story of the creation, my dear reader, it is an account of what is true of all men who are whispered to; as well as the inception of “THOU SHALT NOT!”

“For I was alive (innocent) without THE LAW once: but when THE COMMANDMENT came, SIN REVIVED, AND I DIED. And THE COMMANDMENT, which was ordained to life, I found to be UNTO DEATH. For sin, taking occasion by THE COMMANDMENT, deceived me, and by it SLEW ME. Wherefore THE LAW is holy, and THE COMMANDMENT holy, and just, and good. Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by THE COMMANDMENT might become EXCEEDING SINFUL” (Romans 7:9-13).

Day after day, the Holy Spirit is snubbed by so many unsuspecting souls, because for some this third person in the trinity has been reduced to a feel good role in the church. He (The Holy Spirit) waits in the church wings until the believer shows up on Sunday and at mid-week service to be touched by Him.

What we fail to embrace of the Holy Spirit is He is a writer, and what He has been assigned to write is the law upon our hearts and minds. Too many are living by their own code, their own directives, without consulting the Holy Ghost; choosing rather to keep THE COMMANDMENTS of “THOU SHALT NOT,” in their own power, only to find, they cannot!

However, we have the promise of God, that he shall enable us by writing His LAW upon our hearts and minds, equipping us with the ability TO BE His people (Jeremiah 31:30-34):

30 But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape (THE DEAD LETTER OF “THOU SHALT NOT”), his teeth shall be set on edge.

31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Too many of God’s people are consuming SOUR GRAPES, when God has called us to partake of the new wine of the Spirit, which are made from THE FRUITFUL VINE (CHRIST). Many have settled for humanistic teachings that do very little to transform the soul or renew the spirit man within; at best, these SOUR GRAPE methods will only minister to the OUTER BODY, which is the feeding ground of the Whisperer (THE ORIGINAL DEVIL).

In Jeremiah 30:32, God has vowed to no longer give us a covenant written upon tables of stones, but upon tables of the heart and the mind. We succumb to such things as 4 Ways to Be Free, 7 Principles of Financial Freedom, 10 Keys to Spiritual Growth; we become engaged in THOU SHALT NOT, which when we fail to master THE WAY, THE PRINCIPLES, OR THE KEYS; we become weighted with the by product of not fulfilling THE LAW: WE ARE NOW UNDER CONDEMNATION (the damnatory sentence of death).

There are many who mean well with their keys, their ways, and their principles, yet what is missed, we are ALL CALLED to live by THE HOLY SPIRIT. We are called to be LED by THE HOLY SPIRIT. Simply stated we are to serve God in THE NEWNESS OF THE SPIRIT AND NOT IN THE OLDNESS OF THE LETTER (Hebrews 8:10, 10:16, Hebrews 10, Romans 8:1-2; Romans 7:6).

When the woman partook of fulfilling her desire and reversed the feeding order, whereby she was to be fed of her husband, she opened up the abyss of the never ending soul. If we are to gain victory over THE OLD MAN ADAM, we must follow the Holy Spirit!
