Keep Your Eyes On Jesus

Updated on July 27, 2011

Do you know that we are surrounded by many witnesses, but just how many really know the TRUTH about our Lord Jesus Christ?

We must put aside all those things that try to slow us down.

The sin that is so easy to get hold of, well we must not let it anywhere near us, you may say how can we stop sin from coming onto me.

Try to keep your mind on only the good things in life, which are staying close to our Lord, keep your mind away from those things that hinder us, keep fighting for the good to be with you, well you never have to fight that hard that it would kill you, Jesus fought for you and He won for you.

And through this battle He has now made a way for you, He has shown you and told you just how you can try to keep away from sin.

We are to stay in one mind with Him, we are to remember the words that He has given to us that will keep us strong when sin tries to come on us.

Keep your eyes on Jesus as He is our beginning and the goal of our faith.

Lift up your sagging arms and make your weak knees strong, walk on flat ground then your lame foot will not hurt as much, it will get better.

Try to be at peace with each other, try to be holy, if you are not holy you will not be with our Lord.

Don't let anyone become like a bitter root that grows up and tries to over take the good plant.

Cut it out as this can fester into sin, which will destroy the good seed that has been planted in you.

Unlike the people of Israel, you have not come to a Mount Sinai which can be touched, it was on fire, there were storms, it was dark and gloomy, you have not come to the blast of a trumpet and a Voice begged Moses that nothing more be said to them.

No, you have come to Mount Zion; to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God.

To keep your eyes on Jesus, you have come to the congregation of the firstborn.

Their names have been written in heaven, you have come to God, the Judge of all men, you have come to the spirits of good people who have been made perfect, you have come to Jesus.

Be careful! Be sure you listen to the ONE who is talking to you.

Therefore, we should be thankful, because we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, we must worship God in a way that will please Him, with reverence and fear, because our God is like a fire which destroys everything.
