Kundalini Rising - A Poem

Updated on August 3, 2014

This poem was inspired by the CD Chakra Healing Chants by Sophia.

Kundalini Rising - A Poem

Passions surging
Origins awakening
Emerging from the heart of Gaia
Primordial rhythms enlivening
Deep native knowingness
Humanity’s sojourn with Earth as One

Sacred individuality
Gently inviting otherness from Oneness
Creation flowing outward
Confident yet receptive
Forging self, tempered
From One comes Two

In stillness, power springs forth
Fanning the fire of will-ingness
Radiating warmth and strength
For creation of reality
Driven from visions ideal
In harmony with the Three

Purest love
Center of the cosmic heart
Symmetry of below with above
Escorting Heaven to Earth
With exquisite joy to soothe the soul
Celebrating the essence of Four

Between heart and mind united
Words spoken with care
With faith uplifted and will surrendered
Broadcasting endless wonder and beauty
When liberated and anchored by love
Sacred truths given voice through Five

Mind of clarity and insight
Eternal bridge to the infinite
Lighting the path to the mystical and profound
And glory perceived within
Inspiration for compassion and forgiveness
Mastery achieved with Six

Portal to higher realms and Source
Seeking intimacy with the divine
Oneness becomes demystified
When stillness transcends aloneness
Boundless gifts unrestricted
At every Now in the journey of Seven

Kundalini - A Short Explanation

Of Sanskrit origin, Kundalini simply means coil. In yoga tradition, Kundalini is believed to be the power that is required to attain spiritual enlightenment. Some call this ‘awakening’. Although every human has Kundalini, it is not always active and may be lying dormant near the Root Chakra. It is also believed that awakened Kundalini can open, cleanse and fully develop each of the seven major Chakras, beginning at the Root and working upwards to the Crown. When the Kundalini reaches the Crown Chakra, it is said the highest spiritual achievement has been attained. It is also said, in tradition, that very few are able to awaken their Kundalini, and even if they do, it would take many, many years, and maybe even lifetimes, to complete the process. This is an old belief system that will no longer carry any weight in the new paradigm we are currently creating for our lives on Earth. In this new paradigm, enlightenment is within reach of each and every one of us. Through meditation and allowing the energies coming to Earth via the full moons, solstices, equinoxes, etc. to transform you, is one way to awaken. Yoga also teaches many practices for awakening the Kundalini. I will leave it up to you to research and choose your own path as you are guided.

Your poem so beautifully expresses my kundalini experience as well.

      "When stillness transcends aloneness

      Boundless gifts unrestricted

At every Now in the journey of Seven"

This is my experience in my morning meditation daily.

The Kundalini is not a myth or metaphor, it is a real Life Force within everyone although in a dormant state. I have experience the awakening of the Kundalini since September 21, 1993 when I was 22 years old. The experience was extremely blissful, wonderful and enlightening. It is so profound, no words could perfectly describe the Cosmic experience.

Thank you ChristinS for your lovely comment! Times are changing and more of the stuff that we haven't heard about before will be coming into our awareness. It is definitely exciting to know we are not limited as we were led to believe. Janet

Very nice :) I've been through a K awakening process myself and it isn't something we see written about all that often. I thought your poem was lovely. Thanks for sharing it. I'll have to check out the CD :)
