Life's Dilemma
Life's Dilemma
From the very beginning, mankind has been caught in a dilemma, man by man, woman by woman: For example; Adam was in a dilemma when he ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil even after God said no! Eve also. Now they had something to be worked out with the creator and they lost their premier lodging in Eden's Paradise. Next; being the first brothers on the earth, we find envy and evil conspiring in Cains heart causing him to kill his brother Abel. Many years later with Noah's life, their dilemma was a world full of sinful unbelievers all around them, and an ark of refuge needing to be built. God allowed 8 persons to escape judgment by the flood.
Another dilemma of Moses having to be hid in a basket made of bulrushes, and the dilemma of Joseph being hastily thrown in a pit by his jealous brothers; By now you are asking? why mention all these terrible situations? Well, yes, why? Also, there was the armies of Israel stalemated, with King Saul afraid of the Giant Goliath. Another dilemma. Why was Jesus persecuted and tried and hung on a tree? Ehy the crucification of our Christ? Surely there must be a divine and eternal purpose for God to allow this to happen! I'm so glad you asked. In every example and thousands that I didn't mention, there wages a War of Good and Evil in every life, even that of Jesus who was the son of God. Each time the dilemma created a necessary choice to make at some time in every humans life, to choose good or evil!
Joshua 24:15 King James Version (KJV)
15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
In this chapter God speaks and describes the opportunities of each succeeding generation, and how they chose to follow the right way. But sometimes there is a bad choice made and some may fall away and follow false Gods, but to their own eternal Doom.
This is not a joking matter. It is serious. The dilemmas of life should be considered as Gods working and fashioning an opportunity to choose the right way. Did Joseph falter in the pit his brothers cast him into? Sure he probably was shook to his core, and disheartened, and afraid, except he knew what I am about to tell you now. God Knew Joseph was in that pit! God already had a plan devised for his escape.. and when the Egyptian caravan passed by he put in the heart of his brothers to drag him out and sell him to the slave traders.. See, God had a purpose for Josephs life and he had to go through some terrible things before it could come about, that Joseph would end up saving his entire family and the Israelites from famine and death. Are you conscious of Gods working in your life like he was?
If Jesus had not died on the cross, been buried and then resurrected into life again on the third day, prophecy would not have been fulfilled and we would not have even a choice to be saved. Thank GOD he did surrender to death on the old rugged roman cross and allowed himself to take our place in penalty for our sins.. For THAT was OUR dilemma, we were lost without hope before we met the blessed Savior, Even if it happened back then, we needed redemption from our sins brought on by the first man Adams sins.. So I am asking you today, have you thought about your destiny? where will you spend eternity? in heaven or hell, where will it be, where will you spend eternity? Or will you be caught without hope in a dilemma that Jesus the Son of God himself died to save you from, but you took no action, no surrender from within, no appeal to the TRUE king of Kings for forgiveness and to accept his forgiveness and his love and peace into your heart by your free will, BY YOUR CHOICE to end the dilemma of sin in your life. He wants to come into your heart and live inside you.. He loves you. He loves me. Once you ask forgiveness for your sins, and are baptized and filled with the holy spirit, according to the bible you are now a new creature in Christ Jesus. His name you will bear all the way to heavens gates.. Its his way of solving every dilemma. Now its your choice!
Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
