Lord Vishnu killed Damons Madhu and Kaitabh with the help of Goddess Aadishakti Maha Maya based on Durga Saptshati

This incident linked with First Chapter of Durga Saptshati and the assistance of Yog Maya to Lord Vishnu.

Madhu and Kaitabh were created by the wax of Lord Vishnu. They stole the books of Vedas and hide them under the Sea Water. The Vedas were under the custody of Lord Brahma. Iord Brahma was worried about this. He tried his best to awaken Lord Vishnu. But he was in deep sleeping. He could not awake. Lord Brahma got scared and sought help from Goddess Yog Maya. We also called her Yog Nidra. Goddess Yog Nidra cast a spell and lord Vishnu woke up.On seeing all the situation he made his form as Haigreev whose face was like a horse and body was like a man. He fought with them for five thousand years. But he could not defeat them.

Goddess Yog Maya appeared and cast a spell and they felt proud of them selves and made a joke and said we are pleased with you and you may ask boon. Lord Vishnu laughed at their audacity and said if you are pleased with me then grant me a boon that you will die with my hands. They granted this boon and said you may must kill us but there where is no water. In the beginning of the world there was no Earth and other planets. There was only water all around. There was nothing other else. Lord Vishnu agreed. Lord Vishnu extended his thighs and layed them on his thighs and killed them. And brought the Vedas back.
