Loving The Hell Out of People

Updated on May 21, 2014

The motivation of my heart must always be the Love of God, the agape love of God.

The direction in which I place my feet and move in must be influenced and directed by the knowledge of God's will for my life. God's will for me is for good and not for evil, to build me up, not to destroy me, so says Jeremiah 29:11.

People are imprisoned by their own hurts, dissapointments, and rejection, causing the heart to be a place chaos instead of love, their own private hell.

Whoever does not love, does not know God, because God is Love. 1 John 1:8

But love [agape] your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Luke 6:35

This message you heard from the beginning:  we should love one another.  1 John 3:11.

Anyone of us can look around our circle of friends or family and find someone who is struggling with a grudge, hatred, or bitterness with another person(s).  In fact, you may even know a Christian who is struggling with this very thing today.  It seems like no matter how much you've counselled, talked, and prayed this person still has not be able to move pass the point of offense.

Love is the most single powerful force known to Christians for we acknowledge that God is Love!  This love is called Agape.  Agape love is a selfless love of one towards another without any sexual implication but is spiritual  in nature.  When we operate out of this spiritual love we bring God into our situation and circumstances.

Loving People

We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. 1 John 3:14

The Assignment of Love

I will be the first to attest that it is not an easy thing to overcome evil with good when we are attacked, ridiculed, abuse, and used.  I've experienced this through family, friends, and even in job-related instances.

On several occassions, I told the Holy Spirit, that I felt I had endured more than my share of hurts and wounds by others.  Only to find myself reminded that Christ bore the weight of my sins to the Cross.  Even in dying He asked His father "to forgive them, for they know not what they do."

I've learned through my walk in salvation that we carry an Assignment of Love to the earth.  This has been proven to me time and time again.  The endless stream of people who feel unloved and rejected can be found around every corner.

I often laugh with friends about the fact that I would love to go to Walmart to get the box of cookies without having to minister to someone.  The love of God searches high and low for able persons to minister love to hopeless and hurting people.  Whether it's in Walmart, laundromats, IRS offices, Social Security offices and wherever His love needs to be shared.

Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God. 3 John 1:11

Loving Toxic or Hurting People

The only thing that can heal toxic people is LOVE!

Toxic people are those whose self awareness is so fully placed in the flesh that they have become "overcome" by and are subject to their vices.

We should not try to love toxic people unless we have a relationship with God and an understanding of Kingdom ministry. Oftentimes, people try to minister to others and have not been healed from their own hurts. This lends itself to tainting the individual being ministered to with our own personal issues.

Loving someone in our flesh will merely bind us to the toxic person and hinder our quest to fulfill the Assignment of Love. If drawn into the drama of the toxic person hinders your view of Kingdom work, then you will be forced to cut yourself off until you are able to love them from behind the walls of the Kingdom.

"The mystery of the Kingdom has to do with no longer seeing ourselves or others after the flesh."  It is like seeing ourselves or others as the plant that has grown in the soil of this realm of knowledge of good and evil. The mystery of the Kingdom means having a personal knowledge ourselves and others as incorruptible seed in the true soil of the Holy Spirit, the hearing of God, and His virtues, the chief of which is LOVE."~Moorea

With this knowledge, we are able to become partners with the Holy Spirit in using love as a healing force. For the Word of God lets us to know that it is with lovingkindness that He has drawn us.  Thereby, birthing souls into a spiritual realm where the love of God is experienced. This is a foreign concept of toxic people who will require that you love them on their own terms.

True love requires that we enter through the gate and not as a thief and robber attempting to scale the wall to take the Kingdom by force.

The direction in which I place my feet and move in must be influenced and directed by the knowledge of God's will for my life.  God's will for me is for good and not for evil, to build me up, not to destroy me.  Jeremiah 29:11

Hurt People, Hurt People!

The motivation of my heart must always be the Love of God, the agape love of God.

When dealing with toxic people, we should take note of the following:

It’s part of The Blessing to remember that no other person in the world knows our inner most thoughts, our experiences, our past, our journey, our hardships, our motivations, or our heart. No other person but the Holy Spirit that is.

Be Mindful that the Hurt is Real!

He is the only one who can factor it all together and weigh the contents honestly. The Holy Spirit is the only one who knows the whole story, all the minute details explicitly. He knows where you've been abused, challenged, damaged, neglected and rejected. And above all please remember that God has the last say in all things.

Toxic and Hurt People Will Lash Out

If you hear things that make you uncomfortable, or angry; if you’ve been bullied or someone tries to make you feel unwanted; just remember to consider the source.  Man is always working with limited and sometimes false information.

Use Compassion When Dealing With the Hurts of Others

God knows everything, nothing is hidden from Him, and He knows the deep innermost parts of every heart, He knows exactly what His perfected/completed work looks like in you already.

If someone has a tugging in their heart against you; it’s their own heart that's not in order. Good bad or indifferent; don't embrace someone elses issue as your own!

Leave Self Out of the Equation

We can no longer afford to pay what the enemy says any attention because we already know that it's a lie; we certainly should not take it to heart; because it’s only meant to distract and keep you from God’s best!

Finally, forgiveness is key in moving from hurt to love!  Oftentimes, people will get stuck here.  Feeling that if they choose forgiveness, in some way they are letting the offender off scott free!  We must remind the capture soul that forgiveness is necessary for their release to a more abundant life and an opportunity to flow in love.

I find that I will often hug the person and the years of bitterness and hurt will flow through their tears.  Then there are times when the hurt is so deep that the person will not allow themselves to be hugged until revealing their secrets.

Remember that it is the Holy Spirit's objective to set the captive free and for many this becomes the individual's journey to Agape love!

Greetings DeBorrah (I like the spelling),

I've read some of your work and am awed by the gifting the Father has placed in my sisters and brothers, here in Hub Land.

Your comment humbles me and I graciously thank you.

      Lady Summerset,

      This is absolutely WONDERFUL!

I agree when you say; "I will be the first to attest that it is not an easy thing to overcome evil with good when we are attacked, ridiculed, abuse, and used. I've experienced this through family, friends, and even in job-related instances."
