Manna food for Monday September 13th 2010
The concept of this series of hubs will be to produce a daily hub which delivers a spiritual message, using bible verse alone.
Verses used will be annotated for your Berean instincts to be verified, and for further contemplation if you desire.
Reading the word daily is an essential part of staying spiritually healthy, if you don't eat, you starve!
God sent 'manna' daily for his chosen ones nourishment, He still does, but like the original manna, it must be eaten fresh each day, it spoils by the morrow, so eat, drink and be merry!
Speaking personally, I use the King James for study purposes, however I will be using the Amplified Bible for these hubs (mainly) unless it has significant contextual differences, for it's easier to read, and who knows, maybe somebody will read these who is not yet in faith!
If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink!
My soul yearns, yes, even pines and is homesick for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out and sing for joy to the living God.
You are my God, earnestly will I seek You; my inner self thirsts for You, my flesh longs and is faint for You, in a dry and weary land where no water is.
WAIT and listen, everyone who is thirsty!
Come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat!
Yes, come, buy [priceless, spiritual] wine and milk without money and without price [simply for the self-surrender that accepts the blessing].
The [Holy] Spirit and the bride (the church, the true Christians) say, Come!
And let him who is listening say, Come!
And let everyone come who is thirsty [who is painfully conscious of his need of those things by which the soul is refreshed, supported, and strengthened]; and whoever [earnestly] desires to do it, let him come, take, appropriate, and drink the water of Life without cost.
But whoever takes a drink of the water that I will give him shall never, no never, be thirsty any more.
But the water that I will give him shall become a spring of water welling up (flowing, bubbling) [continually] within him unto (into, for) eternal life.
For My flesh is true and genuine food, and My blood is true and genuine drink.
I HAVE come into my garden....... my [promised] bride; I have gathered my myrrh with my balsam and spice [from your sweet words I have gathered the richest perfumes and spices]. I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk.
Eat, O friends [feast on, O revelers of the palace; you can never make my lover disloyal to me]!
Drink, yes, drink abundantly of love, O precious one [for now I know you are mine, irrevocably mine!].
