Master Your Tongue
Life and death is in our every thought and every word. What does your tongue say about you? If you can learn to master your tongue, you will have mastered faith.
We need to understand that words are powerful.
EVERYTHING WILL RESPOND TO WORDS!
Master your tongues, you master your flesh, master your flesh, you master your faith.
One of the biggest things you will ever struggle with in your life is your faith. Faith is the easiest and most freeing thing to have but the way the world is, it has become one of the hardest things to master. Mastering faith means you have to have your life running completely by the spirit. This means you have complete control over your flesh.
Galatians 4-5 teaches us about the warfare between the spirit and the flesh. There is a living conflict between the flesh and the spirit. Your flesh wants you to live thru the physical senses. Satan attacks us thru what we can hear, touch, see, taste and smell. He attacks us thru what we can physically feel; our feelings and emotions. When you operate in the flesh, you are susceptible of diseases, curses, sickness, illness, depression, mental illness, poverty, and so on. Flesh ultimately leads to death. Thru the spirit, it is only when we are free from all of this.
So what does how we speak and what we say have to do with all of this?
We live in a world where it teaches it is better to say how you feel then hold it in. It has taught us to be careless with our words and to let our emotions and how we physically feel dictate our lives. It has taught us to live by the flesh and the flesh alone. When you are not feeling good and you speak it from your tongue, you are giving your flesh the authority to take control over your spirit. If the doctor says you have strep throat and because of how you feel, you agree, you have let your flesh win. On the other hand, if you deny your body of this sickness and do not speak of it, but bind it and repent it, your spirit is able to take control and your body will be healed. It is only when we dwell on a physical feeling or emotion, speak power into it, does our flesh take control.
This has led followers of Christ to be dammed the same curses and sickness of the sinners who deny his name. When we walk by the flesh, not our spirit, we are giving into the world. We will not go to hell for this, but we certainly will not lead easy lives.
THE WORLD, EVERYTHING IN AND AROUND IT, EVEN US - We were all created by the words of God!
Pr 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."
Think before you speak, for the words that come from your mouth, come from your heart and whats so ever a man is believing in his heart, so is he.
When you become reborn thru the salvation of Jesus Christ, your spirit has become perfect. You are free of sin, curses, ect. What does this mean? THE ONLY THING/REASON YOU WILL GO TO HELL IS TURNING AWAY AND DENYING JESUS CHRIST!
