Mirror,Mirror What We See

Updated on January 20, 2010

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:18 NASB

When we first come to Christ we are made new and we are being transformed into His likeness. As we look in the mirror we see the same figure we see every morning or every time we look at our reflection. But on the inside we are being transformed.Praise GOD for that.

2 Corinthians 3:16-18 (NIV)

But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect[a] the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

The verses above seems to explain it a little better. When we give our lives to Christ and we turn to him our eyes are unblinded and we are free. Do we forget what we see when we look at our reflection in the mirror? Well, Jesus unveiled our faces and we can see now. He can see us as righteous and we glorify his name in things that we do for him and others. So when you look in the mirror try to see Jesus because we are being transformed each day we live on this earth.

People are telling me my tests are too much for me to handle, yet I get up and go on, praying that peace will come. Thank you for your prayers.

I love that verse. Seeing ourselves the way the Lord sees us can be a real eye opener, and inspiration. Peace.

Denizee, they say that because they don't know God..God tests us to make us stronger..and he knows his own.but it would be their fault sis cause man is without excuse.

I love your Hubs. Someone recently told me as I felt so discouraged over too many tests in life - when I asked them why those who break all the rules - seem to have it all, and those that are closest with God are tested, they said "God doesn't worry about them", but he looks after you. I don't understand their answer.
