Mustard Seed
Mustard Seed
The smallest seed awaits its watering
because it seems as dry as a desert.
Slowly the gardener comes and
releases his water, just a few sprinkles to begin.
The seed slowly begins to opens, wanting more water.
Slowly it comes,
like an April shower.
Soon it is drenched and can barely move
because of the intensity of the water.
Before you know it, it's over before it began.
The gardener is done watering, for now.
Now its time for the seed to grow.
Slowly at first,
but then it will shoot above the rest
and become the perfect flower.
