My Big Pagan Test

Updated on March 6, 2012

Well it happened! I had my big Pagan test on the 3rd of March and even though I've been studying my ass off, the test was a little hard. Its everything I learned in my first year. Some of the material I don't even remember learning about. When I started my first year there was 5 of us in the class and I thought we were a very powerful circle, but then it just became me in the class. 2 of them were a married couple and had a falling out with my teacher, so they left. One moved away and the other didn't feel it was the right path for him. I felt really hurt and lonely. I felt like I had to do triple the work. Anyway... my job is a very stressfull one and I told my teacher I need to take a 4 month break. As I look back on that it was the right thing to do, even though I really missed them. See this is why I probably don't remember learning about some of that material. Overall the test was 141 questions and I started at 1:30pm and finished at 7:40. We had some 15min breaks in between and the last 10 questions were essay ones..

If I don't pass the test for some odd reason, I just take it again until I do. I also asked my teacher when my dedication would be and she said it would happen on Spring Equinox which we are celebrating on March 24th. I'm super excited! I can't wait to go into my 2nd year. My teacher told me that the 2nd year is all about you inside and "getting those skeletons out of your closet" and more hands on. I cannot wait.. even though I'll be the only student.. hell if I got through the first year by myself, then I can get through any year. I can only go higher from here.

On other news: Morganna and I finally got our material for our belly dancing costumes. My teacher is making them. they are going to look so awesome looking. Mine is all greens and blues and Morganna's is all oranges and yellows. We've been really working our asses off on dancing. We're going to try and debut at the Fire Festival in August. With my job and her school, we've been doing pretty damn good. We've got about 5 or 6 songs we really want to dance too. there is one song we've pretty much got down with a routine. It looks awesome! I'm going to put up the youtube video of the song.. tell me what you all think of it.

What do you think of the song "Kecharitomene" by Loreena McKennitt for my belly dancing group?

I don't think you need to worry about passing. You have been so dedicated this pass year and things will all turn out. Great job Megan and I'm very proud of you. Love Mom
