My Pagan Path Part 1
I know I haven't been on here much and I know I haven't written anything about my Pagan path in a long time. So I thought its time to update everyone who's been wondering.
In my "Becoming Pagan" blog I wrote that my Pagan test was going to be in January, well we pushed it back b/c of some drama that's been happening in the circle lately. My teacher Linda told me that my test and dedication will now be in March. Now all I have to do is start to study. She also asked me if I wanted an oral test or if I wanted to do it on the computer. She said if I chose to do it orally then I will be able to have my guide with me to help with questions and give me hints. I'm not good with oral tests, so I decided to have the test on the computer.
I'm almost in my 2nd year and I'm excited as hell! I should already be in my 2nd year, but b/c my work got super busy last year I had to take a 4 month break. It was awful. I missed my circle family so badly. There is another student who is going into their 3rd year and the same day my dedication is on is his initiation. Its going to be a really fun day.
This year we decided to go out of our Celtic tradition and do other cultures for our Sabbats. We put all our names into a hat and we got that Sabbat with a culture. Like this year I have Brigids Day and the culture is Aboriginal Australia. My team members and I are going to do this really cool fire dance and we're going to make a didgeridoo. So cannot wait! I also got Beltane and the culture we're doing is Tibet. So cool! We just did Winter Solstice and it was in the Brittany culture. I love how my circle family makes us think outside the box.
Everything else is going very well. Class is still on Friday nights and Linda is teaching a new student. She is really nice. My belly dancing group "Lunar Shadows" is still going strong. We're trying to put songs together and we're trying to go take some professional pictures. Both Morganna and I got some really pretty belly dancing costumes for Christmas and I can't wait to see what they look like on us.
