Neptune Retrograde 2020

Neptune, the planet associated with illusion, imagination and spirituality, goes retrograde in the sign of Pisces on June 23 until November 28.

Since Neptune is an outer planet, the effects of its retrograde motion won't be as intense as say Mercury or Venus retrograde. Although it still will have a powerful effect on the areas of your life where illusions and fantasies have taken hold. Find the house in your birth chart which is in the sign of Pisces and this will be the area of your life where you may experience some truths being revealed.

With Neptune going retrograde, this will help to clear up any false realities which may have been clouding your view.

It'll act as a kind of wake up call to these areas of your life in order to show you were you've lost touch with reality or where you could be in denial of something. Neptune can create illusions of grandeur and it can also act as a catalyst for escaping some of the harsh realities in your life. Neptune and the sign of Pisces can trigger your addictions, whatever they may be, or the things you do when you don't want to deal with your current situation.

Essentially putting whatever this is on the back burner and out of your immediate sight in the hopes that it'll make it disappear.

Although these things never do actually disappear and instead they just come up later when the illusions starts to fade. Neptune retrograde will do this in that it'll part the clouds in your mind in order to see things more clearly. So if this is affecting your relationships, you may come to some harsh truths about some of your old beliefs surrounding relationships in general. So you might find that someone who you once thought cared about you or was loyal to you has actually been deceiving you and even if you may have suspected, you ignored it.

If this is affecting your career, you may find that the path you've been pursuing is no longer fulfilling you but you've been denying it due to a fear of the unknown.

Whatever area of your life you'll be experiencing these wake up calls, know that these fantasies are fading for your own good and benefit. The universe and your higher self is trying to shine a light on particular areas where there needs to be some adjusting so that you can realign to your path in a more authentic way. It's never easy to come face to face with the things you haven't wanted to deal with. But it's necessary in order to be following the right path.

Neptune retrograde is also a great time for pursuing spiritual enlightenment and healing.

So things like starting a spiritual practice like meditation, prayer or even yoga. Working on connecting with your inner self through things like quiet contemplation or even journaling your thoughts. Spiritual development as well as a spiritual cleansing to clear out your energetic body as well as your physical body. Neptune and Pisces rule the twelfth house which is known as the house of the undoing.

So essentially, this transit will create an undoing in a particular area of your life in order for you to rebuild it.

The best way to get through it is to not hide away or escape from your reality any longer. Stand and face it head on and be willing to accept what you see there. Be willing to see what is actually staring back at you and not what you want it to be. See something for what it really is because seeing it as anything other than that only hurts you in the long run. These illusions are fading away in order for you to have a second chance to envision the truth in these situations.

Embrace it, find the wisdom in the experience and allow the truth to set you free.
