No reason to fear

7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Fear is part of human nature, especially this day and age; even for Christians. But the word of God tells us that we are not given a spirit of fear. The spirit which dwells within us is a Spirit of power, love and of a sound mind. What does this mean?
Power is the power of the Holy Spirit, it is empowering us to overcome and also given us the ability to overpower fear if one places his or her trust in Jesus Christ.
Love is just that, almost self explanatory, we are loved by God, (John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life).So this explains why we can wholeheartedly trust Him, but it is also more than His love, it is also the love He has given for others. We are loved so we must also love.
A sound mind, a sound mind is a mind free of chaos, deception and fear. However, our mind is a battleground, this is the place where the enemy (Satan) plays his games, this is where he tries to lie to us, twist the word of God and manipulate us into doing his will. But we can also combat the enemy by praying to our Saviour, speaking the word of God out loud and commanding the enemy to leave us in 'Jesus Name' for Jesus tells us in John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
So do not fear, remember that through Jesus we can have peace, no matter how hard it may seem, trust in Him. All you need to do is ask for peace and He will give it to you.
