On Personal Power
I will. My will means everything. I cannot stress this enough. Here, my concern is that some people will not understand what I say but that is bound to happen. One has to be ready to receive knowledge, otherwise knowledge is meaningless. Thus, if I make no sense … it is just fine.
From birth we are taught to use our reason. We build our knowledge around reason. Experience also adds to our reason and we form a way of thinking. Therefore, reason helps us navigate through Life. It is somewhat of a guardian to our existence.
Behind our reason stands our will though. And many people overlook this point. You will to exist – that is why You are here now! Know that. Your will is your personal power. Some people have more of it and some people have less. Personal power is something which needs to be worked on constantly and one must put reason aside for that.
On my last brush with my Death, I had a voice in my head suddenly tell me to move. I moved and a car dropped on the spot I was in, a second before. Reason did not tell me to move, actually reason told me to stay underneath that car to get the spare-tire out but I listen to my will. I hold enough personal power to live, whatever the circumstances – my will keeps me going. Here, I am not cocky – I am confident. Again, this has to do with personal power.
Our will is the most important thing. In Life, we gain personal power when we follow our Will. This is difficult in most cases because of other people’s expectations … because of reason. Reason tells us what to do, what society tells us to do, what our friends expect us to do …
So, reason is something which we learn to incorporate. It becomes part of us when we are born. And we need it - there is no way around it. The key here is to understand that our will trumps our reason. Our reason is there because of our will. We will our reason, we will everything: everything that exists.
To strengthen our personal power we need to quieten the exterior voices which enter in our head – the daily buzz of the world, so to speak. Meditation can help here - getting closer to our Spirit means getting closer to our Will. Or just defying reason can do it too but that is a more dangerous way of going about it and I do not recommend that, especially for people who do not have much personal power. Sometimes, I do like to start from the end though … I defy reason many times for no reason at all, just because I will.
Thus, to not make this any longer than it should be, one exercise in gaining personal power is to start paying attention more to ourselves, our thoughts and actions. We have to analyse ourselves and try to do more things that we will and less things that our reason dictates for us to do. By the way, this will completely change your Life. I will not lie about it, it does not happen over night (being persistent helps) but the changes are … incredible.
All the best!
