Online Bible Verse - Jeremiah 23:24 - Who can hide in secret places?
“Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the LORD. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the LORD.”
Jeremiah 23:24
Jeremiah, a prophet. Today we are reminded that God sees all. Every little thing that exists and/or occurs within what He created. Granted, it does not exist in its original form, it is no longer perfect (see Genesis chapter 3).
But, it will be restored:
Isaiah 65:
“See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.
2nd Peter 3:
“But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.”
Revelation 21:
“Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away,”
So God not only has the capacity to create the universe, He also has the capacity to restore it. Why let it degrade in the first place? Because genuine relationships require freedom of choice, and that freedom resulted in poor choices.
Not to worry. He has also provided compensation for those choices. So not only can creation be physically restored, man can be reconciled back to God. A complete repair job.
In the meantime, God sees all. He sees actions and thoughts. He sees mine. I confess daily about some of those actions and thoughts. Not because I am scared He will slam me for them, just the opposite. Rather, because I am overwhelmed by the grace He has provided me.
Joe Louis once said, and I use the quote often, “He can run but he can’t hide.”. And I can’t, so why bother. Since I can run, instead of running away I will run to Him.
