Family, church and friends are awesome, as can be the communities which we live and work . Sometimes we look around and everything seems solid; no apparent threats on the horizon.
As life’s tide turns, however, the terrain around us can change in a hurry. We realize that we are not necessarily surrounded by friends across the board, and that includes some of the smiling faces. Depending on our mindset and environment, things can be become quite unsettling. Merely listening to or watching the news can remind us of how flawed and dangerous this world is.
Regardless of how we are feeling and interpreting the landscape, why not confide in the one person who is above and in control of all of it? Nothing, no one claims ownership or control of Him in any way shape or form. He made it, He oversees it and is He who will ultimately restore it to its original perfect state. No more threats.
He willingly offers an anchor of security right now. We may be exposed to harsh reality as per His will, but not to anything outside of our ability to withstand and endure. With a peerless and powerful God on our side, we need not fear anything or anyone.
