Our Heavenly Father's Love
I am sure that a lot of you that read this might be able to relate on the lack of a fathers love. But in the time that I have been born again I learnt about a love from THE FATHER that just totally and utterly overwhelmed me.
If you are born again you might be able to relate to what I am speaking about but if you don’t I pray that this article helps or leads you to build a deeper and more meaningful relationship with God.
When I got born again the first things that really got drilled into me was how much the Father loved me. It was proved to me. That love was proved to me in John 3:16 “for God SO loved the World that He gave His only Begotten Son and whosoever shall believe in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life”. I realise you have heard this scripture many times. But let’s just say that you just haven’t gotten all there isn’t out of this scripture quite yet. I hadn’t and I wanted to. This is the richest scripture I believe is in the Bible. Not only is this scripture proof of God’s love for us it is also the reason for the Bible, the whole Bible is an explanation for John 3:16. We need the whole Bible to fully understand the Love of God for us and the proof that followed. And what was the proof? It was the gift of Jesus.
Think on this for a moment. God who created Heaven and Earth and all that’s in it loved you and still loves you so much (regardless whether you are born again or not) and gave you His only Son. God could have given you anything else. Planets and stars, but the thing with that is that He wouldn’t have missed it. He had millions of them so what is the point. He had to give something that would cost Him something. He had to give something that cost Him everything. He only had 1 Jesus.
You see God puts a very high value on us. The value is seen in that which He gave us. His most valuable possession, JESUS!
Jesus is the highest price that God could pay for us. There is no higher price. Jesus is the beginning and the end of it all. Everything starts with Him and ends with Him. Jesus is the expression of God’s love for us. Jesus is the manifestation of God’s love for us. If you ever want to know how much God loves you, looking to Jesus will answer that.
Now what does Jesus represent that makes Him so valuable. I am sure those who aren’t born again are wondering. What is the big deal with this Jesus? What makes Him so special, other than Him being the only Son of God. Well Ephesians 1:3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ”, this really explains to me His value. Everything that Heaven has to offer God put in Jesus before He sent Him to us. What spiritual blessings are we referring to here? Well, Healing, Salvation, Deliverance, Finances, Love, Peace, Joy, Wisdom and the list goes on. All this is in Heaven and not just a small amount of it. We are talking of an abundance of these things. There is no limit to it. It cannot run out. It’s an overflow of all that we could ever need and want to live what should be Heaven on Earth.
So in JESUS we find everything we need. In Him we find our Healing and our Salvation, Strength and our courage and so forth. There is no shortage of this.
Now if you got born again all that is in Jesus, is in you.
I mean that alone should tell you that God truly loves you. He gave you JESUS, the most valuable possession He has and He filled Him up with everything we could ever need and want and He sent Him to us to live in us.
Jeremiah 31:3 “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving kindness”. Everlasting love? It means it doesn’t end. It has no end to it. In the Message Translation it says “expect love, love and more love” I always enjoy that. God’s Love for you cannot end. It has no limits on it. So nothing you do or say can stop God from loving you. It’s His nature to love you. He actually chooses to love you. Ephesians 3:18 “may have power, together with all the saints , to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge.” God’s love is so high and long and deep and wide. Our human minds cannot understand it. It’s VAST!
There is nothing your Father wouldn’t do for you. He wants you to live a BLESSED life and that life lies in Jesus. He is the expression of God’s Love for you. Jesus lacks nothing therefore neither do you. Gods given you everything you will ever need or want to live the life that He has created for you. It all lies in Jesus.
Don’t question your Heavenly Fathers Love for you just embrace it, embrace the gift of Jesus.
