Overcoming Rejection

Overcoming Rejection
Rejection carries a heavy load
It’s placed a blockade upon life’s road
Without a doubt before too long
You buckle under another’s wrong
It hurts I know,
The wounds are deep
Your happiness goes,
You yearn for sleep
You try so hard to find the key
But through the tears it’s so hard to see
You cry out, ‘God what do I do?’
You search and seek the whole day though,
He answers clear, ‘You must forgive,
To set you free, so you can live’
‘But Lord,’ you say,
‘That seems so wrong,
I’m angry and hurt;
I’m not that strong,’
He answers gently,
‘My Son died for you,
Do you not know?
He died for them too?

The Cross and the Blood is all said and done,
So look to Me and honour My Son.
Remember His last words as death drew near,
They are the words I urge you to fear.’
“Forgive them Father,
They do not know,”
‘Through those very words
I let them go,
I’ll give you the strength
To see you through,
Full restoration
I promise to you.
So quietly now from where you are,
Release forgiveness on those near and far,
Press into Me for the love you need,
And true wholeness will sprout from the forgiveness seed.’
