This book by Elisha Goodman presented to me a new level of prayer that in reality caused me to reach and become even more persistent which made my prayers more effective and my walk with GOD and my respect for Jesus burn even more the greater. Great article and great advise. I will check out the book. Do you read Oswald Chamber's "My Utmost for His Highest?" It's a daily devotional. He was an amazing preacher and writer from the 1800's. He says (on May 5th) "Every element of self-reliance must be slain by the power of God. complete weakness and dependence will always be the occasion for the Spirit of God to manifest His power." Thank you this is very powerful prayer advice. The one thing I always have to remember is to not be greedy when praying for my needs. It must be my needs, not my desires.
