Priest of Praise (Poem)
Priest of praise offer up your worship to God, worship Him in Spirit and in truth,
Reverence His sovereignty!
Out of the purity that is your spiritual stance, present your sacrifices of praises,
Prostrate and lie face down,
Bow, kneel and genuflect, fall to the threshing floor in reverent wonder,
Let your humility shine forth with no shame, arise and sing, speak and proclaim His majesty,
Extol, exalt, adore and love Him completely,
He is worthy!
You are flames in His all-consuming fire, a light which never goes out, because of His unquenchable anointing,
Night and day as the Angels sing, Holy, Holy, Holy! Join in and sing of His holiness too,
With your voice increase the loudening of heavenly praise, offer up to God the sweet sounds of praise,
When you don’t know what to say, speak to Him from the depths of your spirit, utter in your spiritual language those things that are secretly between you and God, for His ears only,
Vow to bless Him at all times, and let His praise continually be in your mouth,
Praise Him give honor, glory and worship!
Let your tongue be the pen of a ready writer, pronounce and proclaim His excellence, with unsealed lips declare His magnificence,
Priest of praise, you are the keeper of God’s flame, Let no-one blow out your fire,
You are God’s idea, your spirit is His candle, you also are a lively stone and are built up a spiritual house,
A holy and royal priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ,
You are a chosen generation, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that you should show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light,
Priest of praise give Him worship, as a sweet smelling savor.
