Passover Was Done for You!

Updated on November 17, 2012

Jesus Christ Died So You Can Have Everlasting Life

This is that time of the year that most Christians should zealously cherish! This is that time when our Savior Jesus Christ laid down his life for all of us as God's Passover Lamb , 1 Corinthians 5:7-8. Are you aware of it? Or do you think Easter is good enough for you and that we need not keep any Jewish day to commemorate the death of the Savior of the world. This "Day" indeed needs to be recognized for its true importance for the redemption of every human soul born of man and woman.

This "Day" of Passover points back directly to the Garden of Eden when our first parents made the regretible mistake of sinning against God's commandment to not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Now all humans would be subject to have to choose from that Tree for many, many centuries and suffer the consequences of sin - "The way that seems right to a man but always ends in death," Proverbs 14:12. Being in a world now subject to the rules of angelic beings who themselves partook of this same Tree and were cast out of the throne in the third heaven of God, Isaiah 14:12-17, Ezekiel 28;13-19. It was here that Satan paved the way of sin and decided to partake of the symbolic Tree of Knowlege of good and evil.

But this is not the end of the story because God rebuked Satan for this deception of God's greatest new creations and a promise of redemption that would come and be started nearly 4,000 years later after humans were allowed to learn why sin is no fun, Genesis 3:15. This world has grown exceedingly evil just as it was before Noah's flood, Genesis 6:5-6, Matthew 24: 37-39.. Despite of Christ's sacrifice, most men and woman went right back to the deceptive pagan ways of Satan the Devil, Revelation 12:9.

God immortalized this very "Day of Passover" for his new found family in the descendants of Abaraham, Isaac and Jacob; the Israelites. Here was a captive nation of God's chosen people back in the days of Moses that needed to be set free to worship the Most High God of the Universe who would redeem them. This first Passover, Exodus 12: would set and example of the need for the shedding of blood of clean animals and would picture a future need at another future time when our Savior would lay down His life for the future redepemption of all nations and peoples.as a special time of memorial and Feast not only for the nation of Israel but the whole world to be kept forever.

And you would think that most humans would look forward to keeping it in memorial to Jesus Christ's death, but this is not the way of this world and is the number one reason why Satan has been so effective at deceiving and blinding humans to this victory in Christ Jesus. The way of the human hearts of men is to listen to other men inspired by the Devil to continually go astray from the Redeemers Words and substitute the commandments of men for the words of God, Genesis 3:7-12, Matthew 15:7-9. Instead they willingly are putting pagan days, such as Easter ( a false substitute for Passover, Acts 12:3-4) before humans to lead them astray. And Most seem quite content to follow after these deceitful institutions and perveyors of evil to everyones destruction even in so called "Christian churches," 2 Peter 3:16-17.

The Israelites were to keep this "Passover Day" in memorial of their miraculous escape from Egypt when God used Moses to bring them out of capitivity to settle in the Land of Cannan. In this 14th Day of the month of Abib or Nisan. In the evening of the 14th Day a special lamb or goat was to be used as a symbol of the future date in history when Jesus Christ would lay down His life in Judea on the Cross as the symbolic real "Lamb of God"(John 1:29, Isaiah 53:7-9). On this particular day the blood from the slain lamb was to be put on both sides of the door and the top of the door to act as a seal on the Israelites from God to protect them from the death angel that God would send to slay the first born of the Egyptians.

Today however, we partake of the foot washing, and eat unleaven bread and drink wine because Jesus Christ changed to different symbols at this time in history just before He died for us. The footwashing shows us that we need a servant attitude to serve others if we want to be leaders for Jesus Christ. The Unleaven bread pictures the sinless body of Christ being broken by the servere punishment layed on him by the Roman soldiers. The wine pictures His shed blood for us that we are to accept as a down payment for our sins so that we can be forgiven once we repent of our sins, Matt. 26:26-29, Luke 22:15-20, John 13;4-17, Acts 2:38. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.

It is no longer a requirement to eat a lamb on the 14th Day of Nisan or put blood from the lamb on the door post of your house. Now Christ as the "sacrificial Lamb" has replaced this old ceremony with the new ordinances that Jesus Christ gave to us, of footwashing, Unleaven bread and wine.. However, many Jews from the Tribe of Judah such as Orthodox Jews and Messianic Jews keep a different time because of some mix up during the Babylonian captivity by the Babylonian Talmudic Jews. They celibrate the 15th Day of Nisan for the Passover for some reason. You would think that the Messianic Jews that recognize Jesus Christ as the Messiah & Yeshua would follow Jesus teachings also but for some reason they do not.

Of course if the Jews had not changed this Passover "Day" to the fifteenth they more than likely would not have killed Jesus as the sacrificial Lamb on the afternoon of the Fourteeth of Nisan. This oversight by the Jews really fulfilled prophecy that they would kill their own Messiah as mentioned in Isaiah 53:1-12, and would have to wait for His second coming to recognize who he really was, Zechariah 12:10.

This event was to be practiced once a year in the early spring during the Passover along with the Feasts of Unleaven Bread days, Leviticus 23:5-8., 1 Corinthians 11:23-29. Today however many churches follow new ordinances from Institutional churches that keep Easter in honor of the pagan goddess Ishtar and the sun god Tammuz. This is an old teaching that dates back to ancient Babylon and Nimrod, Tammuz, and Semiramus, Genesis 10. This is what the Emperor Constantine the Roman Caesar gave to the then pagan Romans in 321 A.D..as a replacement for Christ's Passover at the counsel of Nicea in the 4th century and called it Easter and replaced God's 7th Day Sabbath with Sunday. Actually, it was to their pagan sun god Mithra (another type of Nimrod) and now they had a paganized Christianity.

This has continued down through the Ages and into our time while some 7th Day Christians keep the Passover on Nisan 14th. Most of what is called Christianity keeps Easter Sunday and Christmas as taught by their institutionalized customs from Mother Rome but God now is calling them to come back to Him, Revelations 17:4-5;18:4-5. But even in this day most have not yet heeded God's call to salvation to follow Christ's examples of Passover and the rest of God's Holydays including the 7th Day Weekly Sabbath, Leviticus 23. They think it odd that there are still people that keep what they call Old Testament Days for the Jews only, Colossians 2:15-20. When actually they are for all peoples all the time, Isaiah 66:23, Leviticus 23:41, Zechariah 14:16-19. It was the pagan new moons and holidays of the pagans that the apostle Paul was speaking about in Greece.

After all they will say, Christ did away with these "Days" at the Cross along with the Ten Commandments. But Jesus Christ never did away with these precious things of God. As matter of fact He confirmed by His righteous examples that He fulfilled them, and how they are to be kept even today, Matthew 5:17-18, John 14:15, Revelation 22:12-16. Truly Jesus Christ teaches the same things to us from yesterday, today and forever, Hebrews 13:8. He is the same God of Israel in the Old Testment who said, He changes not, and will keeps his promises to save us in the near future at His return, otherwise he has every right to destroy us for not keeping his Laws, statutes, and Covenant with the House of Israel, and the House of Judah and Christians who follow him today, Malachi 3:6-7-18. Only the animal sacrifices were done away with, most other civil laws and religious Laws will be used again.

Thank God for Jesus Christ's sacrifice that now because of His righteousness, we can have access to the Holy Spirit by God's grace, John 16:7-13. The change from or own human nature can only come about when the Holy Spirit is present in our bodies to produce the friuts of righteousness so we can be born again, Galatians 5:22-25. We know this is true because Jesus Christ taught us in John 3:3-8, that we must be born again of the Spirit. But first we must be begotten by God the Father and believe Jesus message, repent of our sins so the Holy Spirit can work in us as new born sons and daughters of God, Acts 2:38, 2 Corinthians 6:16-18.

The problem with most who claim to be Christian is, that they like Ancient Israel have been fooled into following a different Christianity by false teachers. Ancient Israel did not have the Holy Spirit poured out on them in their day and could not please God through the efforts of their weak flesh and animal sacrifices., Romans 8:1-4. Jesus Christ special sacrifice has changed all this. Now as many as God is calling and are led by the Holy Spirit can become the children of God the Father, Romans 8:14-17, 1 Corinthians 3:16.

Many are called now but few are chosen at this time because they can be easily deceived into following a false paganized Christianity, formulated by the teachings of men, which is the wide way to destruction. God's way is the narrow straight road which is very hard to follow without the Holy Spirit in us, Matthew 7:13-14. We must be aware of the false teachings that Jesus warned us of in Matthew 7:15-20. This is why the Holy Spirit is needed in our lives, so we will choose from the Tree of Life and forsake the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Most of humanity will be called later at the Great White Throne Judgment when Satan and his demons will no longer be around to deceive them, Revelation 20:10-15, John 7:37-39.

Along with the Passover day comes the Feast of Unleaven Bread for 7 days. The First Day is a special High Day,or Sabbath, on the fifteenth of Nisan. This Day is kept like the regular Sabbath Day in that it is Holy and no work is to be done and unleaven bread is eaten. This was the Day after Jesus Christ was Crucified. In 31 A.D. it was on a Thursday. Jesus was put in his burial tomb just shortly before the sun went down before this day started. This Day is also a memorial of the creation of humans and unleaven bread is eaten picturing a time when humans first sinned and needed Christ's sacrifice to atone for their sins, Genesis 3:15.

The 7th Day of this Feast of Unleaven Bread is also special High Day or Sabbath and pictures the Millenium and a time of completing God's plan of salvation for us and final coming out of sin. These Days of Unleaven Bread picture the first part of God's Plan of salvation for all humans as presented in Leviticus 23 along with the rest of God's plan of 7 annual Holy Days and weekly Sabbath Days.

Jesus came down from Heaven as the Spiritual Bread of life. He gave Him self willingly as He was sent by His Father to accomplish this need. Now, all will eventuallly have their chance at salvation. It was the Father's will that every one which believes in the real Jesus Christ may have everlasting life and be raised up on the last day, John 6:37-40. So we as humans need to make sure that our foundation is laid in Jesus Christ, 1 Corinthians 3:10-16. This is why eating of Unleaven Bread is so important to us for 7 Days, because it pictures the Unleavened Bread of Life Jesus Christ who poured out his life's blood for us so we can lead a sinless life, John 6:47-58.

Jesus Christ loved us humans so much that he forgave those that derided Him and killed him, Luke 23:33-34. This is the legacy we have to follow, to forgive others who may hate and kill us also for the Word of God. Jesus said we would be persecuted for His sake and be killed, Matthew 5:11-12. But we are to put our trust in Him who will raise us up with Him to rule in the Millenium at the end of the first harvest if called now, or later with the second great harvest of souls forever, Revelation 20:1-4, 11-15.

We need to make sure that we understand our calling and let nothing keep us from attaining eternal life through Jesus Christ with much love and patience, Romans 8:26-39: "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities; for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit Herself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot not be uttered. And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose. For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: whom he justified, them he also glorified. What shall we say to these things? If God be for us who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemeth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall seperate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril,or sword? As it is written, for thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors though Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to seperate us from the love of God, which is in Jesus Christ our Lord."

"And our Passover, " so let us keep His Feast, 1 Corinthians 5:7-8 > Purge out the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as you are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleaven bread of sincerity and truth.!
