are you good enough to get to heaven

100%

Are You 100% Sure you would go to heaven if you died today?

Pastor Grosjean

I Jn. 5:11 "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; [and] he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

This verse tells us three very important things:

Firstly: It tells us how to get salvation.

We only get salvation by believing in Jesus Christ. You cannot get to heaven by being good. After all, none of us can be as good as God demands. God's standard of perfection is sinlessness. Even if you never sin again, you have already sinned. We all have. That is why God offers the free gift of eternal life. God will give the gift of salvation, if we just ask.

Secondly: We can possess salvation presently.

God is not just interested in your life after you die. He wants to give you eternal life here and now. He does this by giving you the power of the Holy Spirit of God the moment that you trust in Him for salvation. You don't have to live in the grip of addictions, and chains of frustration. God wants to give you his power for living here in His righteousness, not just after death. II Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Thirdly: We can know positively that we are saved.

We can know that we are saved because of the Presence of Spirit of God. Rom. 8:16 "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:" He tells us that we are the sons of God once we have received the gift of salvation. In the same way you feel guilty when you do wrong and feel good about doing right, the Holy Spirit will speak to you and let you know that you are a child of God.

We can know we are saved because of the Power of Grace. Grace is when God gives us the ability to do right and live above addiction. As we see God's power work in our life we know that we are saved.

We can know that we are saved because of the simple Promise of God. He promises to save us if we just call upon Him for salvation.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

I know that I am a sinner and have disobeyed your laws. But I know that you love me and that Jesus died for me. Now, I ask you to come into my life and save me. Please, forgive me of all my sin. Please be the Lord of my life. In Jesus name, Amen.

How sure are you that you are on your way to Heaven?

I read of a Christian Jewish site that allows one to leave email messages for 'after the rapture'. Not sure exactly how that would work...but your distinct message would fit right there. As it surely would be available right here! Thanks for your Christian message, it was refreshing.

Sorry Tom. I should have put that information up there too.

Well, I don't know where you're coming from, so let me start at the beginning.

God made us. If He made us, He knows what we are made to do. You can try to use a snow plow to color a coloring book but it does not work because that was not what a snow plow was made for.

God knows what we were made for. We can try to do things that we were not supposed to do, but it does not work right. Because He made us, He has the right to tell us what we should and should not do. You can use a butter knife to screw in screws, but that is not what that was made for either.

So, if God says that we should do something or should not, it is wrong to disobey. We belong to Him. We should follow His owners manual.

And God's owner's manual (the Bible) tells us what we as end users of his product are licensed to do and not to do. We do not have the authority to reverse program the archatechture for example.

The Bible tells us that we are sinners, both by nature and by choice.

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

He made us. He gets to make the rules. And everyone of us has broken the rules.

Hope that answers your question. But I suspect it simply opens up a can of worms for you.
