People at the top have their own problems, even when they are very powerful. There is a saying in the Italian language that says, there are three omnipotent people in the world: they are: the pope, the king and those that have nothing; now, those that have nothing they have nothing to lose, so, they don’t care what is happening around them, for that reason they are powerful, because they cannot lose anything.

The kings; there are not many kings left in the world today, and those that exist download their duty of care to the people government, since most of them have a constitutional government, regulated from a written constitution.

So, today there are very few people that have a lot of power, like the president of USA and other elected presidents; now, as we know with power comes responsibility, and the pope is one of the most powerful and responsible single person in the world; so, his duty is to run the Roman Catholic church properly; therefore, he has got to decide the religious issues that affect the church, since he is the head of the church. So, when things go the wrong way, like what is happening now about cardinal Pell and other paedophilia priests; the pope must decide what to do to fix them.

Now the pope needs also to take into consideration, what the clergy around him have to say, but really is up to him to have the last say. Anyhow, the question here is; does this pope know what needs to be done? I hope he does. But, is this pope strong enough to do what needs to be done?

Now, let us look how things are and what can be done. In my opinion, there are several ways how to fix these religious issues; but knowing that religious people don’t like changes, there are only two ways open for them, one is to play it safe and leave things as they are, in the hope that they slowly come back to normal. The other way is a radical approach, where changes of religious rules are made, so that what has happened now, may not happen again and if it happens, it will be on a smaller scale. Which way is pope Francis going to take we don’t know? We hope that he has the courage to punish the guilty clergy hard enough, according to the wrong deed that they have done. Then find a way how to start changing some religious rules.

Now let us talk about what is happening these days. This time we are going to talk about what is happening in the Roman Catholic church, since they are on the news in a negative way a lot. It is the same old problem that they have, it is about paedophilia that even the top people are guilty of. This is really a disgrace, because it really points out how low they can get. They preach to the people to be pure and keep away from sex, then they do the filthiest sexual act possible themselves.

What is wrong with the Roman Catholic church catechism, is that they are trying to tell everybody that having sex is a sin, because it belongs to the pleasure of the flesh and that is not important. What is important for them, is that we should try to look after the soul, because the soul connects us to God, and if we look after the soul, we can live forever in the spiritual world; anyhow, this is what they believe.

Now what they believe is one thing and what they do is something else; because human physical desires cannot be ignored, they end up doing the most unnatural sexual act. What I am quoting here is from the New Testament, the teaching of Jesus;

Matthew 18:6

But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.

This teaching of Jesus is very clear; it is for sure means above all forbidden sexual things, there are a few versions of this saying, depending which apostle is saying it.

Anyhow, to me this sin seems to be the most horrible sin that anyone can commit, so, those that commit it are horrible people. That is all I can say about them. But now let us report what is happening today.

These days, while we are waiting for the court to sentence cardinal George Pell. Everywhere you look there are people talking about him, because he has been found guilty. Some people are shocked, some are on denial and still don’t believe how bad this is. Cardinal George Pell was a highly respected person, now suddenly he has fallen very low, so, people don’t know what to say. Two past prime ministers still want to defend him, when there is nothing to defend. So, they better disassociate themselves from him. You see, if you sin, you must pay for your sins; this is the only way for other people in the same position, to learn that they cannot make mistakes and go unpunished.

Anyhow, this is only the law of the land or people law. Then there is the spiritual part and the canon laws of the Roman Catholic church. So, we are looking at pope Francis to see which way he is going to solve this religious problem. We hope that he starts changing a few things that will make this paedophilia problem less likely to happen. Most people believe that if the priests can get married, this paedophilia problem, may disappear or will be kept to a minimum. There are other things that can be done to improve modern religions. So, hereunder we are going to suggest how we would like to see religions in the future.

Today religions have problems, because they are not changing like everything else changes. People believe that religions don’t change, because if they change people become suspicious and can leave religion.

But the paedophilia that they have today, we believe that it is due to the celibacy in priesthood. But celibacy was not needed in the early stage of Christianity, so, the church itself has started celibacy, when they introduced it. There are a couple of things that are not mentioned today: one is that the priests could marry in the past, they had their own families, so, whatever they earned during their lives was left to their families. This made the churches poor, so a canon law was introduced, where the priests were required to be single.

Another thing that it is not mentioned today is that the priests in some cases sold their absolutions to make money; today it sounds crazy but that is what happened in the past. Anyhow, this was also abolished, since in the eyes of God you don’t need to pay to be absolved of your sins, you need to repent and promises not to repeat it.

Now, I am saying all this because I want to prove that religions can be changed. But it is up to the pope and the upper clergy to decide what to do. Anyhow, our views are that it would be a good thing if priest can marry, so that more normal people become priests, also woman should be able to become priests, since other religions have already accepted this change.

Anyhow, today Pope Francis has got this problem to solve, or at least start to make those changes that need to be made, in order to guide the Roman Catholic religion in the right direction.

Today on the TV program, I have seen a strange thing from pope Francis, you see the pope does not want people to kiss his hand or ring, it was almost funny to see the pope withdrawing his hand while people were bowing and trying to kiss his hand.

Can this be a sign of the times and things are going to change soon, I do not know, just I am going to wait and see.
