Prayers for Blessings from God

according to the Pew Research Center:

55% of Americans pray every day.

• We choose to believe that God is in control and His plans are better than ours.
• We admit that we don't know it all and need help
• God is faithful and true
• God hears our prayers and as our Loving Father He will act
• Faith is a choice to believe in something bigger than yourself
• God says He will answer our prayers and He doesn't lie
• Believe it - and receive it
• Just verbalizing our trials and tribulations gives us an opportunity to cast our care upon the Lord
• Ask, seek, knock - ask and it will be given to you!

Prayer doesn't have to be a long drawn out ordeal. Think of it as talking to a friend. Prayer is simply conversation - with God. I don't use any "thou" or "thee" phrases - I just talk. My prayers may be audible or not. Prayer is just like talking - only you are talking to God! Sometimes it is just reflection. Sometimes it is just thinking and asking. And most importantly, prayer for me is listening. And looking for a response. I expect good things from God - He promised!

God still sends signs when you ask Him. Sometimes I'll ask a question and watch and pray. Sometimes I'll hear something that will 'cut me in the heart' and I know that is from God. Not like the hurt kind of cut, but an 'oh yeah' kind of moment.

We are all made up of body, mind, and spirit. Let your spirit talk to the Holy Spirit. Let the Holy Spirit talk to you!

Dear Lord,

You have told me that I am your child. You have told me that You own everything on Heaven and on Earth. I know that you love me, that you have chosen me, and that you have forgiven me for every sin - past, present, and future. Today I reach out my hands and let you fill me. I accept your blessings today. I forgive all who have offended me whether they deserve it or not. I release them to You today to do what You will with them.

You have told me that my cup will run over, that I would rest and live in green pastures. You have said that you will increase my territory, and that I will be the head and not the tail. I am so weary of this oppression. Deliver me from my enemies and shower me with your glory. Let even my enemies bring me gifts.

I rebuke the spirit of oppression in my life and my family's life. I command it to leave in Jesus Name. Today Lord, now, I declare and decree that I am favored by the Most High God, that I have more than enough, and that I will bless many with the gifts you give me. My cup runs over.

Thank you Lord for releasing the abundance of Heaven over me and my family today. I command the spirit of debt and the spirit of lack to leave, in Jesus Name. I release the spirit of plenty as you have told me that everything that my hand touches will prosper. This undeserved, unmerited blessing has nothing to do with me - to you be the glory Lord, and thank you for your bountious grace in every area of my life, in Jesus Name.

If you listen obediently to the Voice of God, your God, and heartily obey all his commandments that I command you today, God, your God, will place you on high, high above all the nations of the world. All these blessings will come down on you and spread out beyond you because you have responded to the Voice of God, your God:

God’s blessing inside the city,
God’s blessing in the country;
God’s blessing on your children,
the crops of your land,
the young of your livestock,
the calves of your herds,
the lambs of your flocks.
God’s blessing on your basket and bread bowl;
God’s blessing in your coming in,
God’s blessing in your going out.
