Privileges God has been giving us (Characteristics of privileges)

Updated on July 25, 2013

We live in this world & face many of needs, desires, wishes & hopes.

Whenever we satisfy one of them a new one arise, let us miss the happiness we have just gotten.

Why do we mostly focus on what we miss even if it so small, unimportant & insignificant.

Why don't we touch & feel what we have, instead of searching & thinking about what we miss?

I would like to introduce a good way to feel how much you do have.

When you you drink a glass of water, it is not just a glass of water.

It is a glass of water which has many characteristics, like:

1- The water is clean & healthy and you should not drink it dirty like millions do.

Some people drink a polluted water (chemical Wastes, poisons, bacteria, Nuclear radiation, etc)

2- The water near, and no need to walk kilometers to reach a will or a tank.

Mostly you don't suffer to get water & you just open the tap.

3- The water is cold in summer as you have refrigerator, and warm in winter as you have heater (so no need for coal).

4- You drink water while feeling safety while millions don't.

5- You still able easily to pay for your water.

6- You are healthy & enjoy drinking some people suffer to drink like who is lying in hospital and drinking through a tiny pipe.

7- You have glasses, bottles & jugs, and every one of them has a color & a design.

8- You are drinking while enjoy with the people you love.

How to be happy?

If you think about every thing you have & consume in this way you will be happy, you will feel satisfied.

Meditation is a good way to think about the privileges God has given us.

Be happy & share others the happiness & whenever you find someone miss something, tell him / her about this technique (Characteristics of privileges).

Thank you my God for every thing you have given me, even the ability to type this words using thousands of privileges which I believe, I would not be able to count them other than their Characteristics.

Would you like to use this technique?

Wow, this hub really makes you think about focusing on what you have, not what you don't have. Reminds me of the Bible verse: Godliness with contentment is great gain. :) Very good :)

I know I have to meditate at least twice a week. I have found it to be helpful for me. I think it is so important to give our brains a rest from time to time. Like anything else..more is not necessarily good for you.

I voted this up..awesome! :) blessings and take care.

Taleb80-This is a lovely hub. It is important to be grateful for even the smallest, ordinary things in our lives. Many people do not understand this and they take what is given to them for granted. I have a hub about gratitude as well. It's called Gratitude and Blessings, if you want to read it. Many Blessings, Tb80. Thanks for the reminder to be grateful.
