Prophetic Dream About Chardon High School Shooting Incident

Updated on February 27, 2013

Today is the anniversary of the Chardon High School shooting incident. One year ago today, I woke up at 7:30 am from a very unusual dream.

I dreamed that I was suddenly in the yard of a high school that was several miles away from home. There was mayhem in the air as kids were being chased by a gunman.

At first, I assumed they were just messing around until an older kid with a black hooded jogging suit caught my eye. He was running after the kids with a gun in his hand.

I quickly walked towards the side of the school and saw kids screaming and piling up on the shooter. Then a man came running out from the school building towards the crowd of children.

He pulled one of the kids out from the crowd and discovered the kid had been shot. The man stretched the child's body out and prayed for him diligently.

As I began to wake up from the dream, I heard a voice of an angel transport the man’s prayers to heaven.

When I woke up, I didn’t think much of the dream. However, I did write it down in my dream journal for future reference. Then around 9:10 am, I decided to log onto ABC News to check out the latest. Then a breaking news headline flashed across the screen ...it read: Chardon High School Shooting.

I was dumbfounded.

As the news began to unravel in days to come, I found out that the man in the dream was a football coach from the school. He actually captured the shooter. He also prayed for one of the injured children as the child died in his arms.

As I was writing this article, God sent comforting words to mind. He said that the child is okay. the child is in His warm embrace.

Whew! You never know what kind of dream God may give to you in the future. God can give you a prophetic dream when you least expect it. There is one thing that I have learned, it is always good to be prepared when God gives you a prophetic dream.

Make sure you always record your dreams from God on paper regardless of how small it may seem. Then ask the Lord to help you to interpret the dream.

Your dreams may be an encouragement to others during the aftermath of a tragedy or difficult situation.
