Rational Observation confirms Design

Updated on August 31, 2010

Our senses point us to Creation

Although I was trained in the sciences, this in no way led me to be agnostic or atheistic. Rather, the predictability in the physical and chemical laws suggest that there is order. If anyone takes the time to think, order is not spontaneous, it requires a structured focus, an implementation, a goal and a plan to achieve desired results.

Yes, one of the greatest supporters of design, is modern science.

You mention homosexuality, you rightly state that it has been around [it is evidently increasing at an alarming rate]. Evolution, if it was a valid concept, would have led to organ specialization by now, resulting in perhaps hermaphroditism, autogamy or self-fertilization. But what prevails? Only significantly lower lifeforms like protozoans exhibit this trait. The fact remains homosexuality is a deviant behavior. One does not need the Bible, to see this, and if one thinks that discrediting the Bible, Jehovah's thoughts, will somehow change reality, then such ones look to the ostrich for wisdom.

It was never my intention to have pointless interaction with anyone. Science has not and cannot invalidate the reality of a Creator. Contrary to what many atheists seem to think, the Bible can be validated, and I shall do the neighborly thing by advising how it can be done.

1. The 5300 manuscript copies [MSS] representing the Christian Greek Scriptures ['New testament'], and the over 6000 manuscript copies representing the Hebrew Scriptures ['Old Testament'], provide significant proof of accuracy of transmission, in ancient Hebrew, Aramaic, and Koine Greek.

2. A careful comparison of the many translations in English [or whatever native tongue], reveals some differences in renderings, the most notable errors are in the KJV [and other translations that utilized the Textus Receptus as a source for translating]. Comparing 1 John 5:7 [Comma Johanneum], Revelation 1:11, and 1 Timothy 3:16, in the KJV vs. NLT, NIV, etc., will reveal notable differences.

3. It stands to reason that any controversial text should be compared in various translations.

4. Those texts that are clear and unambiguous, should be taken as precedence over texts that are ambiguous, in determining or defining a point. Example, the entire Bible supports that God is one.

Being gay does not originate with the true GOD,but with the Devil.God made Adam and Eve,not Adam and BOB or Eve and Shelia.

Rather, let Scripture speak for itself.

      2 Timothy 3:1-5 (GOD’S WORD Translation)

      2 Timothy 3

1You must understand this: In the last days there will be violent periods of time. 2People will be selfish and love money. They will brag, be arrogant, and use abusive language. They will curse their parents, show no gratitude, have no respect for what is holy, 3and lack normal affection for their families. They will refuse to make peace with anyone. They will be slanderous, lack self-control, be brutal, and have no love for what is good. 4They will be traitors. They will be reckless and conceited. They will love pleasure rather than God. 5They will appear to have a godly life, but they will not let its power change them. Stay away from such people.

      Romans 1:18-32 (New Century Version)

18 God's anger is shown from heaven against all the evil and wrong things people do. By their own evil lives they hide the truth.19 God shows his anger because some knowledge of him has been made clear to them. Yes, God has shown himself to them.20 There are things about him that people cannot see—his eternal power and all the things that make him God. But since the beginning of the world those things have been easy to understand by what God has made. So people have no excuse for the bad things they do.21 They knew God, but they did not give glory to God or thank him. Their thinking became useless. Their foolish minds were filled with darkness.22 They said they were wise, but they became fools.23 They traded the glory of God who lives forever for the worship of idols made to look like earthly people, birds, animals, and snakes.

24 Because they did these things, God left them and let them go their sinful way, wanting only to do evil. As a result, they became full of sexual sin, using their bodies wrongly with each other.25 They traded the truth of God for a lie. They worshiped and served what had been created instead of the God who created those things, who should be praised forever. Amen.

26 Because people did those things, God left them and let them do the shameful things they wanted to do. Women stopped having natural sex and started having sex with other women.27 In the same way, men stopped having natural sex and began wanting each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and in their bodies they received the punishment for those wrongs.

28 People did not think it was important to have a true knowledge of God. So God left them and allowed them to have their own worthless thinking and to do things they should not do.29 They are filled with every kind of sin, evil, selfishness, and hatred. They are full of jealousy, murder, fighting, lying, and thinking the worst about each other. They gossip30 and say evil things about each other. They hate God. They are rude and conceited and brag about themselves. They invent ways of doing evil. They do not obey their parents.31 They are foolish, they do not keep their promises, and they show no kindness or mercy to others.32 They know God's law says that those who live like this should die. But they themselves not only continue to do these evil things, they applaud others who do them.

      TT,

I'm a believer, but I've got disagree with one point you raised:

"Evolution, if it was a valid concept, would have led to organ specialization by now, resulting in perhaps hermaphroditism, autogamy or self-fertilization. But what prevails? Only significantly lower life forms like protozoans exhibit this trait."

Actually, we evolved to have genetic bio-diversity. It speeds up evolution. Consider mixing two flavors to make something new, versus copying the same recipe over and over again until a typo occurs.

      I think God designed evolution.

I also believe that God created the homosexuals. Even if it is a sin, Jesus Christ forgave it by shedding His blood.

It upsets me to hear so many Christians willing to detract from this amazing spiritual contribution. God forgives us. He came down as a man to accomplish this. He went to hell and preached to all of us (throughout time). Ever knee shall bow.

      Thanks,

      Dan

Everything pertaining to planet earth [outside of man's intervention], is tweaked to facilitate life in all its diversity and complexity on earth.

      1. The relative sizes, positions and distances of the planets and the sun.

      2. The peculiar properties of water, makes it essential for life.

      3. The moon, its distance from the earth, its size, the tilt of the earth, all, tweaked to perfection.

      4. All proteins essential for life are left rotational stereo-isomers, whilst the sugars are right rotational.

      5. DNA/ RNA replicating system, had to be perfect at the start for life to exist.

      6. Even now, the enzyme polymerase gives and accuracy of about 10 to the power 7, to DNA replication.

      7. Mutation is foreign, to the process, that is, it is engineered by something external to the system.

DNA replication, the basis for biological inheritance, is a fundamental process occurring in all living organisms to copy their DNA. This process is "replication" in that each strand of the original double-stranded DNA molecule serves as template for the reproduction of the complementary strand. Hence, following DNA replication, two identical DNA molecules have been produced from a single double-stranded DNA molecule. Cellular proofreading and error toe-checking mechanisms ensure near perfect fidelity for DNA replication

      : DNA polymerase

DNA polymerase adds nucleotides to the 3' end of a strand of DNA. If a mismatch is accidentally incorporated, the polymerase is inhibited from further extension. Proofreading removes the mismatched nucleotide and extension continues.

DNA polymerases are a family of enzymes that carry out all forms of DNA replication.

A DNA polymerase can only extend an existing DNA strand paired with a template strand; it cannot begin the synthesis of a new strand. To begin synthesis of a new strand, a short fragment of DNA or RNA, called a primer, must be created and paired with the template strand before DNA polymerase can synthesize new DNA.

The peculiarities of life are inconsistent with prevalence of elements on earth.

On earth the occurrence of silicon far exceeds that of carbon, yet carbon is ideal for life on earth. As regards the relative abundance of silicon and carbon in outer space, the converse to what obtains on earth exist.
