Salvation According To Oprah....

Salvation According To Oprah….

The Lord Jesus Christ, seeing afar off, due to His omniscience, warned the Apostle Paul, as recorded in his epistle, (Galatians 1:8), that if ‘anyone’ comes preaching another Gospel - let he or she be accursed! This dire, Divine warning, apparently, was never heeded because there are countless would be impostors, claiming to know spiritual truths; among them, is one of the most influential “secular messiahs,” Oprah Winfrey, who has cast her lot with aplomb and panache with those worshipping at the altar of demonic Apostasy. Salvation, according to Oprah, is that ‘every’ religion leads to God, notwithstanding the various pathways (religious rituals and dogma); to Traditional Christians, like me, these dogmas would include the Redeeming Blood of Christ Jesus… spilled during His death/sacrifice, His Resurrection, and His glorious rewards of paradise, as recorded in the scriptures (1st Corinthians 2:9).

This belief that the god of one religion is the same as the gods of other religions is coined as Ecumenism, which, to me, is Political Correctness in the religious realm. Oprah Winfrey is the current, ardent proponent of this Ecumenism, so much so, that she has made a so called religious documentary lauding all the major religions/faiths. Oprah’s take on Salvation is widely being praised, with the attendant, copious publicity via the various secular mediums. However, no amount of worldly publicity or the interviews of the representatives of these idol worship religions - outside the confines of Traditional Christianity - can give this demonic Ecumenism credence. The convocation of the world’s major religions and seeming consensus should have no influence, whatsoever, on the Body-of-Christ - but alas, it will!

Were you to come to me as your lawyer… with facts pertaining to an illegal search of your home or person; as a prudent lawyer, I would take refuge in our Constitution’s Fourth Amendment, leveraging the case law (precedents) on illegal police searches. Likewise, I, the Traditional Christian, will defend Christianity from the Ecumenism advocates by using the Bible as our source of the law. It may sound good to say that all gods bleed into one stream of consciousness to the respective higher powers… but this is contrary to Christian teachings. The very first Biblical Commandment bears this out, whereby, the Lord codified what He told Moses that you (we) must not have no other God - but Me (Exodus 20:3-5)! Virtually from the Book of Genesis to Revelation, we are warned not to worship other gods; how many times did we read in the Bible about God’s punishment of Israel for ‘going a whoring’ with other gods?

For the Traditional Christian, the Divine, Holy Spirit inspired logic, which comes from reading and knowing one’s Bible, should come to the fore when Oprah or anyone else tries to convince one about the merits of saying that all gods are the same (Ecumenism), as the God of Christ Jesus. The logic being is why the Great Commission, where the Christ told His Disciples to preach the Gospel to all-the-world, if the gods outside of Israel were the same as Christ Jesus? How redundant would it have been for the Apostle Paul to have gone and preach in Rome and Greece, when both countries were worshipping multiple gods? Moreover, what a waste of time it must have been, especially, for the martyred Disciple, Thomas, who, tradition said was killed for trying to convey Christ Jesus’ Gospel to the inhabitants of India - a country that has some 235 million gods.

To liberally borrow from the Apostle Paul: O Oprah, who has bewitched you… or those of us who see ourselves as sophisticated modern Christians… giving heed and paying dubious homage to pop culture and its prominent denizens, at the urging of our ‘fleshly’ itching ears. These perversions of doctrine and the new age thinking about whom and what God is should not come as a surprise to the learned Traditional Christians. Christ Jesus told the Apostle Paul, by way of the Holy Spirit, that this Apostasy would take place (read 2nd Timothy 4:3). People, like Oprah, pervert the tenets of Traditional Christianity to curry favor with the world and to justify behaviors that are contrary to the Bible. How can anyone read the Bible’s John 14:6 - I (Christ Jesus) Am the Way the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father (God), except through Me - and say that there is more than one way to God?

To those who are not Traditional Christians and wondering who is this babbling idiot, I challenge and dare you to seek the Christ because He is faithful to manifest and let you know that He alone is God and no other. To my fellow Traditional Christians, keep praying for me and family to maintain the journey of faith in Christ Jesus… knowing that the time is nigh when opened, lethal persecution will reach these shores and many of us will suffer Saint Peter’s disease (martyrdom). However, when they come, I have asked the Lord to grant me the courage of my conviction in Him and to beg my accusers to find me guilty beyond a Divine doubt of being an idiot savant for Christ Jesus. I end with a Holy-Spirit inspired salutation: let us Traditional Christians go down in slumber every night… accompanied by glorious Hallelujahs, and let us, likewise, arise shouting glorious Hallelujahs in this life or the next! Maranatha!
