How to say the divine mercy chaplet

This is a series of prayers to be said with ordinary Rosary Beads.

Note: (when said with two or more people, the "leader" says part A, and the other person(s) say part B)

First, you pray one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and The Apostle's Creed.

Then you proceed to pray the following prayer on each of the large beads.

PRAYER ONE!!

A- Eternal Father I offer Thee the Body, blood, soul and divinity of your dearly beloved son our Lord Jesus Christ

B- In atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

Next, on all the smaller beads, which are ten in each section, this prayer:

PRAYER TWO!!

A-For the sake of His (Jesus's) Sorrowful Passion

B-Have mercy on us and on the whole world.

------------------

As you know , the rosary beads have Large and Small beads....... And the first prayer is said along with the second prayer ten times...............................in five seperate sections.

AT THE END

Say this prayer 3 times:

A--Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One

B--Have Mercy on us and on the whole world.

Closing Prayer - optional

Eternal God in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible; look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your Holy will which is Love and Mercy itself! Amen!

The History (story) of the divine mercy chaplet

St. Faustina says she saw Jesus with rays of mercy flowing from His heart.

Jesus told her how to comfort him by giving her direction on how to pray the chaplet on ordinary rosary beads to please him.

He told her if you say it you will be given mercy at the hour of death. Also it's recommended to sinners when there's little hope of their salvation and if the worst sinner recites it once he will get mercy. also if said around a dying person, God will show much mercy on them instead of being a supreme judge.

I pray this often, almost daily or twice daily. It's a wonderful way to connnect with God and meditate on His passion so we can appreciate Him more and be inspired.

I love praying the chaplet of divine mercy. The words are beautiful and helps me think of Jesus' passion and death for us and for mercy for the world, etc.

It's also pretty quick, takes not very long, less time than the rosary and focuses on God only not Mary.....

      It's very satisfying.

--The bible says "pray without ceasing" and I find it hard to pray in my own words (all) the time. I find this like a meditation.
