True Security Can Never Be Found In A Man
Security can never be found in a relationship with a man
Parents usually eagerly desire that their daughters be married to be secured. At times, fathers began to worry about their daughters when she is advancing in age and still unsettled in marriage. Seemingly our culture has programmed women to seek marriage to have security. Old folks in our community used to say to me that I should marry so that I will bear children who will take good care of me in old age. Seemingly marriage implies security for the woman.
But many times as I observe what is happening in our modern generation such as rapid increases in the occurrences of divorces and break up of relationships, marriage which used to be a woman’s fortress has become a woman’s prison. Many women now are seeking to flee from their marriages. Marriage for many women had turned out to be their worst nightmares.
Marriage as well as relationship with a man does not always guarantee security. We should never anchor our security on a relationship with a man or marriage. For these things are temporal and are not designed to be permanent. Marriage is temporal since it could easily end through a divorce or through death of a spouse. Nothing is permanent here on earth and we should not rest our security upon anything this temporal world can give. Security can only be found in a relationship with God. For this relationship alone is designed to be eternal for only God is eternal and His love alone will prevail throughout eternity. And only God is capable of giving us a perfect and unconditional love for He alone has a perfect incorruptible heart. The heart of the natural man is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked as written in the Scripture, how can he give a perfect love or how can he satisfy a woman's quest for true love.
Man has a fallen carnal nature and not capable of providing perfect eternal love. Many beautiful and wealthy women of this world sought security in a man’s promise of love but only to be broken hearted again and again. There was once a very lovely and sexy actress who was once fantasy of men. Her angelic face could easily capture men of influence. She found herself to be in a series of relationships with men but none of these relationships had really worked. She had been in a live-in relationship several times and also had been married more than once but she ended up as a miserable single woman. Seemingly, true love had been very elusive for her. She keeps on seeking her satisfaction in men, only to be frustrated again and again. Carnal men are not capable of giving security in relationship.
Once there was a beautiful First Lady adored by men who had been widowed more than once. Every time she got widowed she could find new love so easily for she has such an adorable angelic face. Finally she got afflicted with a fatal ailment and her wealth and her man cannot do something to reverse such fate. She died with so much pain and agony in the arms of her man. She had so much agony to bear that her love affair with her man had to end so soon
Someday I want to have a glorious death because it will be the beginning of the ultimate consummation of my eternal love relationship with my Creator. For a true child of God who rests her security in her relationship with God alone, death will just pave the way for a much glorious beginning. Rest your security in God alone.
