Shri Krishna is called A Lord of sixteen skills perfection or solenh Kala Sampoorn. To purify water of Yamuna is one of his skills.
Kalia Nag who lived in Yamuna river was very poisonous serpent. With his poison all the water boiled with furious bubbles and spoiled the whole environment. The birds who flew across the rever they fell down into the water with poisonous effects and died.
No one went near the River for this furious serpent. Shri Krishna was playing with his companions with ball. That ball fell into the river. All people knew about the poisonous water of that river. But Shri Krishna dived into the River Valley where Kalia Nag lived. All his companions felt stunned how should they do. But no one had courage to go inside the water.
On other side Shri Krishna reached near Kalia Nag and caught him. He made many attempts on Shri Krishna and stung him. But poison didn't affect on Shri Krishna. Shri Krishna stood on his headset and controlled him and danceed on it. Shri Krishna crushed him during his dance and destroyed his poison.
As Shri Krishna began to kill him the wives of Kalia Nag requested not to kill him and Kalia Nag also realized his mistake and request to forgive him. Kalia Nag also promised not to Harrash the people.Shri Krishna accepted their request and don't kill him. Shri Krishna removed their poison and sent them to Ramnik Dweep and gave assurance nobody would harm them. Kalia Nag's family went away.
Shri Krishna came out from the water and the water was purified on going away with the serpent. Now everyone could enjoy the purified water. That river who was haunted place for every one with the fear of Kalia Nag, now become a picnic spot and a part of boon of Nature.
