Your Not Ready

"Brothers, I was not able to speak to you as spiritual people but as people of the flesh, as babies in Christ. I gave you milk to drink, not solid food, because you were not ready for it. In fact, you are still not ready, because you are still fleshly. For since there is envy and strife among you, are you not fleshly and living like unbelievers?" 1 Corinthians 3:1-3 When you become a believer, you are a baby in Christ. What this means is that, you are still new in Christ, learning to talk. Learning to walk in Christ. It is just like a child. When a child is born, they must learn to walk and talk. The same is for believers. Unbelievers do not have an understanding of the Lord. "The unbeliever does not welcome what comes from God's spirit. Because it is foolishness to him; he is not able to understand it since it is evaluated spiritually. The spiritual person however can evaluate everything, yet he himself cannot be evaluated by anyone." 1 Corinthians 2:14. Once you give your heart to Christ, he gives you sight. "I once was blind but now I see." This is symbolic in some ways because before you accept Christ as your personal savior, we are in a sense blind. Once you have a spiritual understanding, you now can see.

The Beginning

When you first become a Christian or "A Believer", you ask Jesus to come into your heart as your personal savior. Romans 10:9-10 says "If you declare with your mouth "Jesus is Lord", and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." This means, no matter what your transgressions are and no matter how you are living, if you believe these things, you will be saved. Matthew 6:31-34 says "So don't worry saying "What will we eat?" or "What will we drink?" or "What will we wear?" For the idolaters eagerly seek all these things, and your heavenly father knows that you need them, but seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you. Therefore, don't worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

Ask God for what you need, for he already knows what you need before you ask!

" Make sure that when you pray, you are very specific. “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Matthew 6:5-15. Ask God for clarity when praying for help making decisions, ask him for discernment to distinguish the genuine nature of someones actions, and lastly, thank him for answering your prayers in advance. Never leave the Lord out of your prayers for he deserves the most praise!

Walk By Faith, Not By Sight!

Isn't that amazing? God himself, tells us not to worry about tomorrow. This tells us that we must exercise undying faith. We have to put our faith in the Lord in ALL things. This means, when you have an issue weighing heavy on your heart, you should bring it to God and leave it there. You should never have a doubtful thought about it after that because you have faith and know in your heart that God will take care of it, whatever it is. This is much easier said then done. Ezekial 11:19 says “I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh”. Believing in something that you cannot see is very hard, but what about believing in something you do see? If you first seek the Lord, he will then provide you with everything you need and then you will see his power right? Sometimes you can even see it work in other peoples situations. First believe that he will without a shadow of a doubt, answer your prayers, and then leave your wants and needs there in that prayer with him. Think nothing more of it, and watch God work.

Thank you very much. It's a learning process and I want to help others learn while I'm learning too. God bless you!
