"Spare the rod spoil the child"

This is my niece and nephew, that was taught that spanking is a form of discipline that we believe in. If we don't discipline our children they'll take advantage of us.
This is my niece and nephew, that was taught that spanking is a form of discipline that we believe in. If we don't discipline our children they'll take advantage of us.

"Spare the rod spoil the child"

If the Holy bible believes in disciplining the children, why is it hard for us to do. Read Proverbs:chapter 22:5 which States. Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

Proverbs:chapter 23: 13-14 State. Withold not corrections from the child; for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shall beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.

All of these scriptures tell us to chastise and discipline our children, but 90% of us have bought into the I love them to much; to hit them system of things. Then we wonder will someone see our disciplinary actions as child abuse, but the bible say to beat them they want die. I remember back in the sixties, our parent believed in disciplining their children and they had help from grand parent, relatives and friends.

Back then if someone saw you doing wrong or being disrespectable, they would stop you ; and tell you that they were going to tell your parent . Right away you knew that meant a butt burning for you. Back in the day, you knew people genuinely care about children and their respectable up bringings. Now days the younger children don't give a hoot or a holler about respecting their elders and the reason for that is, they haven't been taught respect at home. It's sad but the children can only give back what they were given.

The parent have to give respect in order to get respect. I realize that in the old days, there was hardly any children going to jail or killing up people, stealing or doing drugs, the bar has been raised on todays children. The children today has been raise without disciplinary actions. Many of them don't have any remorse for doing things that that are wrong. We as parent can't blame anyone for our short comings in regards to raising our children but us.

There are more of our children going to jail and being killed today, than there was yesterday. I totally believe in the words of God and he said to chastise our children and I believe in doing so. I believe it will make them better human beings. I know that we have those that would rather die than to spank their children, but if you don't do it; the police or the prison system, and everyone else will chastise them.

All the chastisement they will get from others, will be in away that you want approve of5 but there want be anything you can do about it. Parent if we start chastisement when they're young, when they get older they'll know how to treat you and respect others. When you teach your child in the way that they should go, you will be proud of the outcome. I think it's always better to be a proud and happy parent instead of being disappointed and sad in the end.

Start now, spanking their hands and even a couple swats on the back side, I promise your children will grow up to be a respectable citizen of the community; and not someone you're to shame to look at in public.
