Spirit vs. Flesh

Updated on August 27, 2010

Walk by spirit and not by flesh.

Romans 5:13 reads: For until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not charged against anyone when there is no law.

Verse 14, reads: Nevertheless, death ruled as king from Adam down to Moses, even over those who had not sinned after the likeness of the transgression by Adam, who bears a

resemblance to him that was to come.

Romans 5:20, reads: Now the Law came in beside in order that trespassing might abound.

But where sin abounded, undeserved kindness abounded still more.

So, then, the HONEST-HEARTED person, should see that BEFORE THE Law, sin was

NOT BEING CHARGED AGAINST ANYONE. Although there was no Law with its

regulations and judicial decisions prior to Moses [Mosaic Law], Adamic sin automatically

is PAID BY THE DEATH OF EACH PERSON [SO THEN, DEATH RULED AS KING].

With the Law, the TRESPASSING of its statutes RESULTED IN CHARGES. So then,

with the advent of the Law, TRESPASSING ABOUNDED.

ONLY THE FREE UNDESERVED GIFT FROM GOD ALMIGHTY, OF

SENDING HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON IN THE FORM OF FLESH AS

AN EQUIVALENT PERFECT LIFE TO PAY FOR THE PERFECT

LIFE FORFEITED BY ADAM, AND SO REMOVE THE STAIN OF

SIN PASSED ON TO ADAM'S DESCENDANTS, COULD FACILITATE

A RECONCILATION OF MANKIND TO THE CREATOR.  Read please Romans 5:15 - 19. Romans 10:15, Ephesians 1:8 - 10.

Romans 6: verse 23 reads: For the WAGES SIN PAYS IS DEATH, but the GIFT God

GIVES IS EVERLASTING LIFE BY Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 7: 4- 6 say: So, my brothers, you also were made DEAD TO the Law

through the body of the Christ, that you might become another's, the one's who was

raised up from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.

For when we were in accord with the flesh, the sinful passions that were excited by the

Law were at work in our members that we should bring forth fruit to death.

But now we have been DISCHARGED from the Law, because we HAVE DIED TO

THAT BY WHICH WE WERE BEING HELD FAST, that we might be SLAVES IN A NEW SENSE BY THE SPIRIT, AND NOT IN THE OLD SENSE BY THE

WRITTEN CODE.

For the love the Christ has compels us, because this is what we have judged; that one man died

for all; so, then all had died; and he died for all that those who live might live no longer for

themselves, but for him who died for them and was raised up.

Consequently from now on we know no man according to the flesh. Even if we have known Christ according to the flesh, certainly we now know him so no more. Consequently if anyone is

in union with Christ, he is a new creation; the old things passed away, look! new things

have come into existence. But all things are from God who reconciled us to himself

through Christ and gave us the ministry of the reconciliation, namely, that God was by means

of Christ reconciling a world to himself, NOT RECKONING TO THEM THEIR

TREPASSES, and he committed the word of the reconciliation to us.

We are therefore ambassadors substituting for Christ, as though God were making entreaty

through us. As substitutes for Christ we beg: "Become reconciled to God." The ONE WHO DID

NOT KNOW SIN he made to be sin for us, that we might become God's righteousness

by means of him.  2 Corinthians 5:10-21.

At Galatians 5:16 to 18, we read:

But I say, keep walking by SPIRIT and you will carry out NO FLESHLY DESIRE at all.

For the FLESH is AGAINST the SPIRIT in its DESIRE, and the spirit is against the flesh, for these

are OPPOSED to each other, so that the very things that you would like to do you do not do.

Furthermore, if you are being LED by spirit, you are NOT UNDER LAW.
