No Substances Involved

Several times in my life, I have experienced circumstances that were not explainable by natural explanations. There could have been natural causes, my imagination, or perhaps something supernatural.

However there is one event that I have never fully been able to understand. It could have been the result of new aircraft testing by our own government in an aerospace facility on the east side of town, a UFO, or a visit from another dimension.

Some years ago, I attended a corporate conference for company managers and directors in Detroit, Michigan. I drove and an older manager rode up with me. The trip to Detroit was smooth and enjoyable and the visit to Detroit was fun. The three days of the conference with its presentations and workshops were very interesting and there was time to go sightseeing after each day's schedule.

My manager friend and I took the monorail from our hotel to the shopping mall nearby a couple of times and we ate wither their or in the hotel restaurant during the three days. We also roomed together. This is all background information for me to tell you that neither one of us drank any alcohol at any point on the trip up or back form Detroit to Franklin County, Ohio and neither did we drink alcohol during the three days of the conference.

I did not use any sort of medication or recreational drugs at all, and neither did the other manager. I never saw her take so much as an aspirin. This being the case, on the drive back to Ohio, what occurred should not have been the result of drug or alcohol consumption.

UFOs in Fostoria, Ohio

The drive from Detroit to Fostoria, Ohio along Rt. 23 was pleasant and it had become dark about half an hour before the Fostoria exit. As we passed that exit, going south, a large circle of light appeared in the driving lane to my left (I was driving). It appeared suddenly and without noise, as if a giant flashlight had snapped on silently.

There was no noise whatsoever. There was not much traffic on the highway and the light followed me on my left side all the way back to Franklin County. The light remained bright, circular and about 6 feet in diameter.

I mentioned the light to the other manager about halfway back to Columbus and said that I did not know what it was. It followed me at the same speed as my car and there was no sound of machinery or aircraft. I rolled down my car window and could still hear nothing unusual. I slowed down and leaned out of the widow a bit and looked up and could see nothing except a shaft of light going skyward. I said I could not figure it out.

I closed the window and it was then that my friend said, "They've come for me."

She was 54 at the time and told me that when she was 19 years old, she and a boyfriend were visiting on her dad's farm and one evening they took a walk through the back pasture and sat on the edge of a small hill. While they were talking, they saw lights from over the edge of the hill. They got up and walked over the edge and saw a large, squat vehicle with whirling lights, but no wheels or windows. It was then that they also heard a humming of machinery or electricity. They turned around and went back to the house quickly.

She said she and her boyfriend never told anyone about this, but that she continued to have experiences that she believed were visitations and attempts at contact and communication between extraterrestrials and herself. I asked if she wanted to stop the car so they could contact her and she declined.

The light stayed with my car, at approximately the same speed as my auto, although it dropped back a foot or two several times. When we approached the I-270 Outerbelt in Worthington and were a mile form it, the light became smaller, shot straight out in front of me like a high-energy beam and stopped mid-air before it reached I-270, made a 90 degree right turn and shot out about ΒΌ mile, made a 90 degree left turn and went about the same distance, and then winked out as if a flashlight had been snapped off or a ship had "gone to warp speed" as in science fiction movies.

My older friend said, "They'll be back for me. It's not you."

I dropped her off at her apartment and drove to the gate of the apartment complex, stopped, got out of the car, looked up in the sky and called out, "I never want to see anything like that again."

And I haven't.

But I look forward to learning more about it.
