Spiritual Darkness over the Land
The Moral Circle
The Moral Circle - What It Is and What It Can Do
I have told the story many times and in many context and here I will be brief. God's Word is load with ways to stay out of trouble regardless of what you may have heard. Image a circle. Within the circle you only do, say, and live within what is right in God's eyes, not your own. What is right in God's eyes can be found in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John plus amplified and expanded in the rest of the New Testament and Old Testament as well.
If everyone lived within the Moral Circle we would not have the crime rates that prevailed our society finances in jails and penitentiaries. To be truly right in God's eyes one needs to be born again through the blood cleansing power of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ - who is the Moral Circle.
Shall we continue to sin once we are in the Moral Circle? Certainly not. Grace, which comes from God, is not an excuse to sin. You see, being born again gives a young believer the ability to dethrone sin in his or her life through the power of the Holy Spirit. The opposite of this is to obey evil desires. Instead, one must choose to present their bodies a living sacrifice to God. The more one does this, the easier it becomes.
The longer a believer resist sin the more mature and holy conduct one attains and is able to have a firm foundation to combat the storms. Trial and temptations will come. But the believer, he or she must not be pulled over by storms. J. Ronald Blue states, "Push, pull - stick stick must be the motto. How can such stamina be achieved? A believer can stand by pursuing, perceiving, and practicing the Word of God" (James, p. 820).
Trials usually come from without and temptations from within which are simply no match for any Christian who stands firm in the truth from above. James also gives good advice for anyone who lacks anything (James 1.5). Most every good thing comes from wisdom and James says if we lack it we should ask God who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given.
However, in James 1.6, those who ask for wisdom must ask:
1) In faith - A cemented belief in God
2) By Believing it will be given - Steadfast in his/her belief
3) By Not Doubting - διακρίνω Koine Greek verb not even to waiver
4) Not Vacillating like the surf of sea driven and tossed by the wind.
God never has been pleased by a double-minded (δίψυχος, ον Koine Greek - two-souled) person who is unstable in all he or she does. I would so far as to say if one wants wisdom that same person would also display some evidence of hope. We are looking at wisdom here as it pertains to staying in the Moral Circle. There are many examples on both sides of the wisdom gift in the Bible that have succeeded in staying in the Moral Circle and some of those with a high degree of the gift that failed to do so.
Love is a powerful drug that is often the deciding factor in the succeeding or failure of Christians in enduring trials and tribulations of life. God blesses those who love Him especially when they are persevering under a trial. The Christian that learns to endure trials and tribulations steadfastly is promised the crown of life. Some experts say the crown of life is given in the here and now while others, me included, say it is given in eternal life to come.
The famine in the land for the Word of God has not happened yet, but it is coming. The day will come when people will long to get their hands on a Bible. But for now, it is for we who are born again and love the Lord Jesus Christ with all our hearts, minds, souls, and strengths. If you want to read about a little of the history of the Biblical past, read on.
Maine is such a beautiful state.
“Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord God, “When I will send hunger over the land for the Word of God"
NOTE: We are back in the great state of Maine and our home in Madawaska. Thank you and God's Blessings to each of you.
Everyone living should declare a stance against sin and spiritual darkness which consumes our land. Without Christian evangelism, our country's fate is coming at an alarming rate. The misuse of the Gospel has driven countless men and women away from Jesus Christ instead of to His loving arms.
Coming from a Christian religious system having a wrong worldview adopted by the world under Satanic control is no better today than it was when Jesus was offered up by the world and by Satan two thousand years ago. (Matthew 4:8-11)
A wrong worldview the people of the world has embraced knowingly or unknowingly is erroneous and gives you a one-way ticket to hell. Instead, please consider steadfastly embracing the Biblical Worldview and the right way to one's Creator.
Jesus hated the practice of religion in His day for its hypocrisy. Jesus Christ was an equal opportunity offender. The Jewish aristocracy of the day had made countless regulatory rules they could not follow. In addition, the Temple and the Holy of Holies regulations that were in place God never intended.
An acquired wrong worldviews derived historically as a result of Jewish tradition and overreaction to a Greek king of the Seleucid Empire from 175 B.C. on to 164 B.C. Antiochus IV, also known as "Epiphanes" or the Coming One, who also was also labeled “The Mad One” (Greek: Ἀντίοχος Δ΄ ὁ Ἐπιφανής, Antíochos D' ho Epiphanḗs, "God Manifest").
Epiphanes was an evil man who dedicated his reign to defeating Judaism thus stopping the real Coming King, the Lord Jesus Christ. Epiphanes did this by installing what was called Hellenism and was characterized by:
- Outlawing the reading of the Torah,
- Persecuting the Jews at every turn, killing many of them for their belief,
- and, had a sow sacrificed on the sacred altar,
- and, had erected a statue of Zeus in the Holy of Holies.
The desecration specifically in Judaism known as "The Abomination of Desolation." The outrage to this desecration produced the Maccabean Revolt, which cast off the Greek rule in the region and brought about the Hasmonean period of Israel's history.
On the third anniversary of the Temple's desecration, on the 25th of Kislev, 165 B.C., the Temple was rededicated. This celebration to this very day is known as Hanukkah.
The Holy Spirit alludes to Hanukkah in the New Testament in John 10.22. Jesus quotes Daniel the Prophet in a private briefing with four of his inner circle in Matthew 24-25; Mark 13-14; and Luke 21-22.
I will let you chase down these verses and let you be amazed during your own study time. A duplication of "The Abomination of Desolation" is the key landmark in the middle of the critical seven-year period comprising the Seventieth Week of Daniel Chapter 9.
We know this as the two-part, three and a half years of a seven-year Tribulation, which may be nearer than you think. One of my former teachers, Dr. Chuck Missler, states,
“However, as so often occurs in Biblical prophecy, many times the immediate, local application of a passage apparently transcends the context to yield a glimpse of a larger, more critical event. The references to the origin and career of Satan in Isaiah 14.12-17 and Ezekiel 28.12-19 are well-known examples. The allusions to Antiochus Epiphanes are another.
While the passage in Daniel 11 up to verse 35 already historically fulfilled, verses 36-45 seem to overlap the career of Antiochus Epiphanes of the past strangely and also the final world ruler, portrayed here as the Willful King.” (Missler p. 27)
I have given you enough information so that you can research this topic and come to your personal conclusions. Additionally, Josephus, a Jewish Christian, wrote:
“In The Histories of Tacitus, we find the son of Antiochus IV, King of Commagene located on the West Bank of the Upper Euphrates. This Prince Epiphanes in the first battle of Cremona is carrying an official title in honor of the man who had desecrated the Temple 238 years before. Vespasian, Herod Agrippa II, and Queen Bernice portrayed as close confidants. Numenius, of the Seleucid dynasty, was a member of the Roman Senate.” (Josephus, Antiquities xiii, 5.8.)
All of this is provocative and clearly, leads to the conclusion of a future world leader from the lineage from the Seleucid kings of the past. Is there a genetic link between Antiochus Epiphanes and Titus Vespasian? It would not be surprising since both tried their best to end Judaism.
Chuck Missler states, “In the fifth century the royal line of the Franks intermarried with the Merovingian dynasty, which ultimately links to the family trees of the Habsburgs, the House of Lorraine, Plantard, Luxembourg, Pontzat, Montesquieu, Sinclair, Stuarts, and most of the royal families of Europe. Among contemporary luminaries are Otto von Habsburg of Austria and his son, Karl, and King Juan Carlos I of Spain and his son, Felipe.
It is from this background that some consider King Juan Carlos of Spain or his son Felipe as possible candidates. The lineage of the son includes 2 German emperors, eight kings of Denmark, five kings of Sweden, 7 Czars of Russia, one king and one queen of Norway, one queen of England and five kings of Greece.” (Missler p. 31-32)
But assuming the Antichrist is from Rome or the Western leg of the Roman Empire is a bit myopic. The Eastern leg of the Roman Empire outlasted the Western leg by over one thousand years. In fact, the Word of God says the Antichrist will be an “Assyrian.” Check out Isaiah 10.5, 24; 14.25; 30.31; Ezekiel 31.3f., Micah 5.5, 6. That’s the region comprised of Syria and Iraq. Is this not fascinating information that contradicts much of current thinking?
The more one studies the Coming World Leader and Man of Destiny in the Word of God the more one becomes convinced that we are rushed into a period where he may be the man of the hour sooner than we think. But any discussion of the Antichrist must be focused on our King, Lord, and Savior, Yeshiva Ha'Mashiach. He is our blessed Hope and soon coming King.
A final thought. Amos has an intensive Scripture of warning that I suspect occurring in America today. In the Amplified Bible it says, “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord God,
“When I will send hunger over the land,
Not hunger for bread or a thirst for water,
But rather [hunger] for hearing the words of the Lord.
“People shall stagger from sea to sea [to the very ends of the earth]
And from the north even to the east;
They will roam here and there to seek the word of the Lord [longing for it as essential for life], But they will not find it. (Amos 8.11-12)
Paul told the Colossians, "See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception [pseudo-intellectual babble], according to the tradition [and musings] of mere men, following the elementary principles of this world, rather than following the truth—the teachings of Christ."
I hope you learn by reading the short articles. I hope they inspire you to study the Word of God. Within lies salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ, the only way to God. (John 14.6)
My Conclusions
The hunger for the Bible will come.
“Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord God, “When I will send hunger over the land for the Word of God." (Amos 8.11) That day is yet coming even as the darkness over the evil world is increasing. There will be a day when people will cry out for the Word of God and kill for a copy of the Bible. This despite the current trend away from the Bible perpetrated by those who hate God, the atheist and agnostic, and followers of the Humanist Manifesto (a religion), which most Christians have never heard of much less read and understood.
If you send your son or daughter to a secular university they will learn about the Manifesto before you and be encouraged to unlearn their Christian heritage. The real battle is Spiritual for the souls of deceived mankind. I hope you are evangelizing the unsaved around you where you live and work.
Let me ask you to do me a favor. Please take a moment to give me feedback on the writing after you have carefully read the article. I have gone back and updated many of the articles, including this one with new materials so new feedback would be appropriate. Thank you in advance. God's blessings to you and your family. Gary Hill
