Standing At The Open Door
Finding Your Purpose
There are many stages a person can find themselves to be in when finding the will of God and answering their life's call.
Everyone wants to feel fulfilled and find their life's purpose. The truth is that it's completely inbred in you to find your purpose, that special call was placed on your life from the beginning. Life's happiest, loneliest and darkest tales come from the voyage of experience finding your place in this world.
What now?
When you're at the open door. What do you do now?
You have been through the processes of life, now you feel you are at the brink of something more and you are in the land of wonder with so many questions, fears and doubts.
Jesus said, " I know thy works; behold I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and has kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Revelations 3:8
There you can see it, and can almost touch it, but you're not there yet. Anxiety and depression can often settle over you right at the brink of your miracle. After you have valiantly faced many trials in life and have overcame them all, (when you can almost taste your blessing) you feel a dark cloud trying to settle over your soul and lower your spirits.
Remember the verse of scripture in Ecc 9:11 that states: The race is not to the swift..... Meaning: The winner is not the one that runs the fastest, but the one who finishes well.
So many times we let those who pass us up and fly through the open door of opportunities intimidate us while we seem to wait; not having all the backing they may have had that has escalated their success.
"You just watch those overnight mushrooms long enough and you will see!" ----Yes, they may have sprung out of nowhere with a pretty impressive status, but such stats tend to eventually fizzle out to little or nothing left but a memory. It is vital for us not to compare ourselves with one another.
The events in our lives that take us to the open door are what will lead us on through permanently. Instead of a fly-by-night temporary sensation you will make a difference in your world that will leave an imprint on lives after your gone.
Just Step Out!
Just take the step! Here you are, you've prayed, believed and God's gave you the okay. What are you waiting on? "Don't wait for the handwriting on the wall or for all the details be laid out before you in chronological order. Just take that step through the open door and all the millions of questions and answers will fall in their places at the right time." Sometimes God gives us just enough information to get us close to His will, then He expects us to take a leap of faith and let Him catch us. Somewhere in mid-air it all happens; because you'll never really know Him until you really learn to trust Him.
Now you can see realms you have never known since you chose to trust. Through that last step you took was a blind step with many unknowns ahead, but you took it anyway. From here on, no-matter what lies ahead you know where you are meant to be.....your destiny enveloped around the will of God.
He will empower you! In this new place where the familiar is no-longer familiar, where the old you (in your memory) stands back in awe at the wonder God has brought you to find. Sometimes this will leave your humanity overwhelmed in a good way, but always know He would never lead you where He won't keep you and empower you to do it well.
Isaiah 10:27 says: And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away off thy shoulder and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
This could mean in your life, " It's your turn to soar!" No more being held back subject to dream killers, or held captive by circumstance.
Release: A time when you as a child of God is released to fulfill the will of Him who sent you. The anointing of God will follow you, and your humble vessel will be fit for the Masters use.
Trouble will not disappear from the picture. Sometimes the same old problems you had before will resurface, but there's something different that happens to you when you pass the open door, like the line from the old hymn says, "Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things on earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace." Strangely, priorities change, countenance brightens, earthly things lose their value, an utterly explainable deep joy fills your heart that is not dictated by circumstances, and you find yourself finding a new meaning to this precious gift of life.
Strangely it won't matter anymore, your eyes are set on things that have eternal meaning and purpose. Strangely, behind that door you become a leader, example and heritage maker( you're no-longer stressed out keeping up with worldly whims).
This don't have to come when you're old, you can begin this journey while you're young, even a child. God uses all ages, there's an open door awaiting every stage of life, just so many miss it. " Seize that moment when you hear the hinges of the door waken you during the night with a burden on your heart! Seize that moment when you start seeing the light coming through the crack of the door--- Be there when it happens; and when it opens --- just GO!"
Less of me! Something about being in God's will-----you will find yourself praying, " Lord, more of you and less of me!" You become the vessel and He becomes the content. He will be your substance and you will be vehicle that delivers it's goodness. In return you will feel joy unspeakable and full of glory.
"So my friend, put one foot in front of another, quit wasting time counting the cost and re-authenticating God's promises------GO!"
"I'll see you on the other side of the open door!"
Finding The Open Door
Finding The Open Door"
Right on the brink, you feel the pain
You feel you would die instead of gain
It's easier to quit and lay it all down
Let the man behind you take your crown
Lose those thoughts and just keep climbing
You just might find you made perfect timing
Take another swing with new confidence
Your faith will find it's providence
Had it not been impossible you'd never know
The thrill of the ride when you finally go
God's ways are past finding out
So dare to believe and take the step out
Logic tells lies when it's meant to be
Courage takes on impossibility
Next is promotion and so much more
First was faith now an open door
