THE TRUTH ABOUT FREE GIFTS FROM GOD
Please Read this Before we Begin. Scripture admonishes each individual to “Do not be Deceived”
. So I caution you to remember to not believe what I or any Other man tries to teach yo. So I caution you to remember to not believe what I or any Other man tries to teach you until and unless it has been confirmed to you PERSONALLY by scripture and the Holy Spirit of God as TRUTH.
An unconditional free gift would be given to everyone without anything being required of them. You would not have to ask for an unconditional free gift, asking would be a condition of receiving it thus making it a conditional free gift, conditional on being asked for.
The rain according to scripture falls on the just and the unjust it is truly an unconditional free gift, you receive it no matter who you are or where you are without asking for it, you get it whether you want it or not.
Many man teach about a free gift from God that you can receive unconditionally. But does scripture agree that it is available to everyone for free, no conditions? If so, why doesn't everyone receive it. Or does everyone receive it? If the gift of eternal life is unconditionally FREE then why did Jesus have to die to provide it? Let's take a look at what scripture has to say about this to be sure what we believe is true before we believe.
Then we must look at scripture to learn about free Gifts and which gifts are unconditionally free, without any conditions attached. That are given to all without being asked for whether they want them or not.
Because that is what an UNCONDITIONAL FREE GIFT is, one that has no conditions that must be met to receive it, one that is given to ALL no matter who they are, where they are and whether they want it or not. Any gift that is not given to ALL without concern for who they are, where they are or whether they want it or not, IS NOT AN UNCONDITIONALLY FREE GIFT, it is Conditionally free. You must qualify (meet the conditions)to receive it. If you must ask for or in any other way qualify to receive it it is not an UNCONDITIONALLY FREE GIFT it is a CONDITIONALLY FREE GIFT.
A Look in The Garden
In the beginning in the Garden, God created the earth , heaven and the seas. Then He created all the things that are found in, on and around them. From plants, trees, bugs, animals,fish and every other thing found there. And Lastly He created His pride and joy, man.
Gen 1:26-31 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all*the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."27So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28Then God blessed them, and God said to them, ; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."29And God said, "See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. 30Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food"; and it was so. 31Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Gen 2:1-2 Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. 2
Notice all the things that God gave to man in the Garden. Also note there are no conditions, these gifts were given to all man on the earth. So far, Absolute authority and control over all that God had created was given to man with no conditions. Everything that man could ever need has been given into his hands to do with as he sees fit with nothing required of him, truly an unconditional free gift to all man it seems.
Gen 2:8-17 8The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. 9And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.10Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads. 11The name of the first is Pishon; it is the one which skirts the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. 12And the gold of that land is good. Bdellium and the onyx stone are there. 13The name of the second river is Gihon; it is the one which goes around the whole land of Cush. 14The name of the third river is Hiddekel;*it is the one which goes toward the east of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates. 15Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. 16And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."
Notice that everything is still free, no conditions, every man is to receive it. READ IT AGAIN, it is not unconditionally free, there is a condition given if he wants to continue in the free gift. The gift is free but there is now a condition that must be kept if he wishes it to continue. If he wants to continue receiving of this gift then He cannot eat of the fruit of just one tree in this garden of God that has been given to him. If he eats of the forbidden fruit he will die, Remember He was created in the image of God, he was supposed to live forever as God does. Also note that "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."
IF he eats of that one tree something else will also happen, the Knowledge of good and evil will be released and man will know something that is unknown so far on earth. The knowledge of evil. He already knows good because God has declared everything He created to be good.. He will also lose all relationship to God as he will be dead to God if he eats the forbidden fruit. The conditions on receiving the gifts that were and are free as long as he does not eat the forbidden fruit. If he eats it then he will die, He will lose the eternal life gift that he received for free , Is the free gift now an unconditionally free gift? Yes there are no conditions on it unless he eats the forbidden fruit. If he never eats the fruit he never has to die and it remains an unconditionally free gift. BUT, what if he eats of that fruit? Then he must pay a very high price.
Another Gift For Adam
Gen 2:18-25 18And the Lord God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him." 19Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. 20So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper suitable for him. 21And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. 22Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. 23And Adam said: "This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman,Because she was taken out of Man." 24Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. 25And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
God loved his man so much he did not want him to be alone, He also had commanded him to be fruitful and multiply and he could not do that alone, so God made him a helper. She was made of a piece of Adam, God had finished creating so He used a piece of His creation to make her. Notice He created Adam but He made her from a piece of Adam. Note she was made as a helper, Adam was given All Authority before she was made. She is made to be a helper, not a leader. Notice the relationship here, woman was made from man but all future man will come from woman. Now back to our pursuit of free.
EveryThing Changes Now, He disobeys God and Follows His Wife Instead
Now his wife is deceived by the serpent and eats the forbidden fruit. His wife, the helper is deceived by the serpent and eats the fruit of the forbidden tree. This would not be a problem for Adam if correctly handled by him. BUT he did not handle it correctly, Adam was told not to eat of the forbidden fruit, not Eve. Adam not Eve had authority over all the earth, all he had to do was obey God, not eat the fruit and we would not have to die, But scripture says he heeded his wife instead of God, he followed the helper instead of the Giver. If He simply said, God said not to eat it and I will not. Eve eating the apple would have resulted in her receiving the curses but if Adam had not there would be no death to man and no curses on Adam. And the knowledge of good and evil, the accountability for sin. would not have been loosed on the earth. The serpent would not have been loosed.. The authority of God rests on those to whom He has given it and no matter what they do they will answer to God got what happens under their authority. The FREE gifts were removed because he did not follow the conditions set forth to keep them and now he has to work to provide food etc. He has brought death and curses to man.
Now Let's Look at the use of FREE in Scripture
John 8:31-32 31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
Notice that the truth will make you free, But also Notice that the truth CANNOT MAKE YOU FREE UNLESS YOU KNOW THE TRUTH. So though the truth will make you free, you cannot be free without the conditions being met. Being free requires that you must first get to Know the Truth, you cannot be free until you know the truth. Being Free is CONDITIONAL on you knowing the truth, it is available to all for free but you can only be free if you first learn the truth. Being free
is conditionally available to all but only those that meet the conditions and Know the truth can receive this free gift. Free gifts almost always have conditions on how to receive them.
Rom 5:12-19 12Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned — 13(For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. 15But the free giftis not like the offense. For if by the one man's offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. 16And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. 17For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
18Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. 19For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous.
Notice here that it does not say that we were all made righteous, but that many WILL BE made righteous. The gift is free but there are conditions that must be met to receive it. A gift may be free but there are conditions to receiving it. If my father gives me a free gift there is a condition to receive it, I must receive it, you cannot. Wills have conditions, the gifts in them may be free but ONLY THOSE TO WHOM THEY ARE GIVEN can receive them. Almost everything in life has conditions attached. Because something is free it does not mean there are no conditions to be met in order to possess it. To say something is free without including the conditions to be met to receive it is a lie. The free gift of God is free to ALL who will meet the conditions set forth to be met as a condition of receiving it. The gift it self is FREE but the CONDITIONS FOR RECEIPT MUST BE MET. If there are conditions it is NOT An UNCONDITIONALLY FREE GIFT it is a Conditionally free gift. And anyone telling you it is unconditional is lying to you, trying to deceive you.
Rom 8:1-11 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,* who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.3For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in uswho do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.5For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
9But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Contrary to what many teach there are CONDITIONS to receiving the free gift of life from Christ. See above verse 4, the conditions are that we must walk in the Spirit not in the Flesh. Many that profess to be teachers neglect the importance of being FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT of GOD, but it is a requirement and is not given unless asked for, see the book of Acts, that Is why they asked have you received the Holy Spirit when they met new believers.
Look above again, scripture says clearly you are not of Christ and do not belong to God unless you are filled with and following the Holy Spirit of God and therefore cannot receive anything of God or Christ because you are walking in your flesh which makes you unable to belong to Them.
The Free Gift of Eternal Life in the Kingdom of God is NOT UNCONDITIONAL, IT IS CONDITIONAL ON BEING FILLED WITH AND WALKING IN THE SPIRIT OF GOD. DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY APOSTATE MAN THAT TEACH OTHERWISE.
Matt 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore*and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
JESUS Himself gave us the only way we can be a disciple of His and thereby a son of God is to follow the instructions He gives us because in this age He is the Lord and you cannot get to God through any other man. He alone is the intermediary between God and man. Any man that teaches a way other than HIS way is a liar and deceiver. Any man that teaches another way by adding, deleting or changing anything that Jesus requires is a deceiver and does not have the Spirit of God. Scripture warns us many times to “Not be Deceived” yet millions are deceived by those doing exactly what scripture warns us will be used to deceive those that are gullible and foolish.
My brothers and sisters there are million of people professing to be of Christ that are deceived and are filled with a false spirit and follow a false christ because they heed the words of apostate man instead of the words of the risen Christ. If you are deceived it is your fault because you have not heeded the scriptures and have let your self be deceived by trusting other that Christ, Who is the ONLY way to eternal life, no other man can get you there because no other man died for you.
If you are trusting in the teachings of man I beg you please study scripture with the aid of the Holy Spirit and learn the truth, be filled with and led only by the Holy Spirit of God, only then can the truth set you really FREE. Free to receive all Christ has to give you and become all He wants you to be. There is no other way.
