Take the word "Achieve" and replace it with

Updated on May 28, 2015

Napoleon Hill

A revised look at Napoleon Hill's famous quote. #FYP

The late Napoleon Hill, in his classic self help book "Think and Grow Rich," stated - "What ever the human mind can conceive, and believe, it can achieve." Changing one word of that quote will make a world of difference to the results you obtain using this philosophy. That one word that needs changing is, "Achieve." Let's take out that word, and replace it with another word with a different emotional (vibrational) frequency. You may ask, why? So let me explain.

The word "achieve," for many, is loaded with negative emotions such as effort, hard work, sacrifice and pain. That one word does not really fit the quote in the manner I believe Hill intended. Let's replace that burdensome feeling word, with one that has less resistance. Let's replace achieve with a word that encourages emotional vibrations (frequencies) of ease, flow, fun, simplicity and joy. Let's replace "Achieve" with "Receive."

"What ever the human mind can conceive, and believe, it can receive."

You may argue, that taking effort, hard work, sacrifice and pain out of the equation, one wont have the results that bring about success. And, at one time, I would have agreed with you 100%, but now after studying in greater depth the power of emotions, which are vibrations that have different frequencies, I have realized a whole different, and more accurate way of seeing things. Emotions are what makes "The Law Of Attraction," work for some people, and not work for others. Read My Hub "The Law Of Attraction - A Useful Overview"

It Is ALL Vibrational

The word "Receive" fits with the Law Of Attraction

For a period of nine years I made a Career selling Real Estate. I was constantly reading motivational self help books, listening to motivational recordings and continually upgrading all my knowledge of the Real Estate Industry. I was disciplined and worked very hard. My actions were deliberate and calculated and I followed the advise of many sales trainers, managers and advise shared from many of my fellow Realtors. In short I applied myself, and I will add happily, to efforting, hard work, sacrifice and I felt the pain. My results were good enough I earned a living, but I constantly looked upon the real movers and shakers in the industry with awe, respect and admiration. They seemed to be having more fun in the business, and their sales numbers were continually way ahead of mine. This just made me work harder, become smarter and continue the effort, hard work, sacrifice and pain. Never was I able to find the flow. I now know why.

I was tuned into the wrong emotional vibrations. I was tuned into effort, hard work, sacrifice and pain. I did not "allow" myself to feel the emotions of ease, the emotions of flow, nor the fun of the sales game. For me it was never simple, nor joy filled. I was happy, but happy does not mean joy filled.

By removing the word "Achieve" and replacing it with "receive," you can begin to experience a shift in emotions. A shift that brings with it the feelings of ease, the feelings of flow, the feelings of fun and the feelings of abundance.

To really get a full grasp of what I am saying, study "The Law Of Attraction." Start by reading my hub "The Law Of Attraction - A Useful Overview." In that article I explain the fundamentals at work behind the Law Of Attraction and give you resource links to further your way along the road. A road that will bring you to success with more ease, more flow, more fun and amazing joy. By playfully practising the Law Of Attraction you will shift your emotional vibrations and you too will begin the "Receive, all you conceive and believe is possible for you."

"What ever the human mind can conceive, and believe, it can receive."

So as we learn to receive - we then Stand Up.... "Knowing"
