Tarot Card Boxes

There are a number of ways to store tarot cards. Personally, I used to store mine in a lovely wooden box, but these days I just keep them in the box they came in -- and there's nothing wrong with that. There is no rule that says you need to store them in some special fashion. That said, most tarot readers do like to use something special to do so, such as tarot card bags or tarot cards boxes. I love the bags, but I have to admit I do find carved wooden boxes particularly enticing, even if I don't happen to use one at the moment! If you find tarot boxes as fascinating as I do, you'll probably love these!

Floral Carved Tarot Box

I love woodworking, especially ornately carved boxes. This gorgeous box was made in India and measures 4 inches by 6 inches. The carvings are of flowers and vines. Obviously, the box doesn't have to be used for tarot cards -- you could store any number of things in it, such as jewelry and the like, but it does make for a spiffy tarot box, doesn't it?

Pentacle Tarot Card Box

Witches tend to be rather fond of pentacles and this box is sure to appeal to many of them, whether they read tarot cards or not. The box itself measures 4 by 6 inches and the pentacle inlay is made of brass. This particular box is also hinged, which many people prefer for one reason or another. Note that one needn't be a witch to admire the pentacle -- but please do not confuse it with a pentagram!

Triquetra Tarot Card Box

If you're a Led Zeppelin fan you'll recognize the Triquetra, but you may not know what it represents -- it's actually got several thanks to modern adaptations, but the original was simply that of the triangle! Nowadays it's often used to represent a trinity, whether it be Christian, Pagan or otherwise. But even if you're not into symbolism, you may still enjoy the beauty of the design for the sake of beauty. The box is made of darkly stained wood, is hinged, and measures 4 by 6 inches.

Pagan Ivy Pentacle Tarot Box

Now this is a fancy looking cold-cast resin tarot card box! It's beautifully hand painted and It measures 4 1/8'' x 6 3/4'' x 5''. You can see the hand crafted vines, roses and guardian angels on the corners. A great box for any Pagan, or any follower of similar religions. It's large and just may be the thing you're looking for if you've got larger-than-average tarot or oracle cards.
