The Beauty of Jesus Heart

Updated on October 31, 2011

The Beauty of Jesus Heart

When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, ‘do not weep.’

Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said ,‘young man, I say to you arise.’

Luke 7 : 13-14

The heart of God is indeed beautiful ! And it is reflected in the heart of Jesus. There is no darkness in His heart, a heart full of compassion, full of mercy, full of love. Jesus heart was moved with compassion when He saw the situation of the widow. The dead man was the only son of the widow. The widow’s only companion and helper in her life was her one and only son who was now lying dead. Jesus was moved with this condition of the widow that prompted Him to perform a great miracle on her behalf. Without JesusChrist the situation of the widow is irreversible. The widow was destined to be alone, helpless, comfortless and lonely. But something happen, JesusChrist came and a great miracle happened. Her son was restored back to life. And the Lord provided a beautiful ending for them. The mother was no longer alone, lonely and helpless. She has her son back again in her arms.

There is a great analogy in our condition with the condition of the widow. Without JesusChrist we are helpless, hopeless, destined for damnation. When JesusChrist came down on earth, our once irreversible condition as sinner was changed. With JesusChrist, we receive a new hope in life and a new direction. Our destination was changed from hell to heaven. JesusChrist provided a beautiful ending for all of us sinners who repented from our sins and turned to God. Let us bring back all the glory and praises to our awesome Lord, the Lord JesusChrist.

Peter, I'd say it's faith that activates miracles.

Take a look at Mark 6:1-6a for reference. It was there that Jesus was actually unable to perform any miracles except a few healings!

Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
