The Bible prophecies Islam :the liberation of Mecca by 10,000 Muslims

Updated on October 23, 2012

"There is no compulsion in religion, it can take a man many years or only minutes.
It is God who decides the time. So respect his doubts."1

When the Meccan polytheists drove the messenger of God,Mohamed(peace be upon him) and his followers out of Mecca,they thought that, by that action, the radiant rays of Islam would fade eventually slowly over time and then the Muslims would never come back again to their place of birth.They were way off the beam.The place El Medina,an old oasis town situated 450 kilometers north of Mecca, where the Muslims sought refuge opened a new era for the message of Islam and its eventual expansion over the Arabian Peninsula and centuries later over the countries nearby.

Connectively,it is worth mentioning that after the Meccan failure of the siege of El Madina to dislodge Mohamed(peace be upon him) and impede the progress of Islam,many tribes of Arabian Peninsula started to convert to Islam and emigrate to El Madina to offer themselves as human shield.Consequently,the Qurayshians lost their trade in the north and prestige among the Arabs.In the other side, the Muslims became outnumbered and thriving in their new land.

Accordingly,the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him decided to liberate the Holy City of Mecca from the yoke of idolatry,especially after he saw himself in vision visiting Mecca and performing pilgrimage “Certainly has Allah showed to His Messenger the vision in truth. You will surely enter al-Masjid al-Haram, if Allah wills, in safety, with your heads shaved and [hair] shortened, not fearing [anyone]. He knew what you did not know and has arranged before that a conquest near [at hand].” (Quran 48:27)2.

The vision that God showed to his Messenger in the above verses are a part of revelation and not a personal experience,that some people might think,that a Prophet(peace be upon him) brings forth from within himself.The story of Abraham with his son Ismail (peace be upon them) demonstrates that all the dreams of God s messengers are visions given by God to them that must be acted upon:

"And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." ( Quran 37:102)

Like Abraham(peace be upon him),Mohamed (peace be upon him) acted upon the vision and immediately gathered his followers and headed to the holy city without holding swords or red flags ,despite of the enmity of the Meccans ,because God made a promise to the Messenger and his companions that they would enter Mecca’s sacred Mosque safely.

At the Mecca s main gate, Meccan polytheists stopped Muslim pilgrimages and forced the prophet to sign a peaceful treaty which,accordingly,they have to retrace steps back to Medina till next year they would be able to come and visit.

When the year had passed,the ten thousands of His holy ones(saints) embarked on a peaceful journey to Mecca and then they conquered it without shedding any drop of blood .The Bible's Old Testament prophesied this historical event .Let us look at the following Verse from the English Standard Version (ESV):

“14 It was also about these that Enoch(the prophet Idris,peace be upon him, in Arabic), the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones, 15 to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” (Jude 1:14-15)

The same prophecy was held by Moses(peace be upon him) after Enoch(peace be upon him):

2 He said,

“The Lord came from Sinai

and dawned from Seir upon us;

he shone forth from Mount Paran(Mecca);

he came from the ten thousands of holy ones,

with flaming fire at his right hand“ (English Standard Version (ESV) ,Deuteronomy 33:2).

According to Islamic history,It was Mohamed (peace be upon him)who liberated Mecca and brought its inhabitants from the dark abyss of darkness(Idolatry) to the light of worshipping One True Living God.No prophet before him had established the kingdom of God in Mecca by the help of 10,000 of Believers.Don t you think that Islam is the true and last religion of God??
