Exodus Chapter 24
The Covenant Confirmed
Exo 24:1-18
God told Moses to take Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel up the mountain to worship the Lord. Moses was instructed to be the only one to come to the Lord up close; the rest that were to come up the mountain had to worship away from Moses. No one else was to come up the mountain accept who God permitted.
Moses told the people of Israel what God had said to Him and had the people build an altar and twelve pillars representing the twelve tribes of Israel. The people of Israel commemorated the Covenant between them and God by give a burnt offering to God. Moses sprinkled the blood on all of Israel to make a blood covenant.
Afterword, Moses took Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel up the mountain to worship God. Going up the mountain there was pavement under the feet of Moses made of Sapphire just like it would be in Heaven. At the top of the mountain there was a cloud that appeared. God told Moses to go into the cloud on the seventh day.
On the seventh day of the cloud, Moses told the people he took with him to stay where they were, but he will take his assistant, Joshua, with him into the cloud as God commanded. Moses left Aaron and Hur in charge of the group while they went into the cloud. At the foot of the mountain, the Israelites saw a big cloud of fire at the top of the mountain. Moses met with God in the cloud and stayed with Him for forty days and nights while God gave him instructions.

Sanctuary Contributions
Exo 25:1-9
God told Moses to ask His people to offer some of their possessions to make God’s sanctuary. God only wanted items that were offered out of the kindness of their heart. The possessions that God wanted were: gold, silver, and bronze, blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, goats' hair, tanned rams' skins, goatskins, acacia wood, oil for the lamps, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense, onyx stones, and stones for setting, for the ephod and for the breast piece. The items mentioned above were to be used for the tabernacle, furniture, and priest clothing.
Ark of the Covenant
Exo 25:10-22
The Ark of the Covenant will be made in this fashion:
-
Made of acacia wood.
-
Two cubits and a half in length, a cubit and a half in width, and a cubit and a half in height.

Overlay it inside and out with gold.
-
Make a molding of gold around the Ark.
-
Cast four gold rings and put them at the feet of the ark on all four corners.
-
Make poles and of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.
-
The poles are to be put in the rings and stay there for transporting purposes.
-
Inside the ark will be the testimony that the Lord will give Moses.
-
Make a mercy seat made of gold that will be two and cubits in length and one and a half cubits in width.
-
Make two Cherubim hammered out in gold that will be melded together on each end of the mercy seat.
-
The cherubim will be facing each other towards the mercy seat with wings spread open stretching toward each other over the mercy seat.
-
The mercy seat will be placed on top of the Ark.
-
God will meet with Moses at the mercy seat under the wings of the Cherubim to discuss the affairs of God’s people.
Table for Bread
Exo 25:23-30
You will make The Table for Bread:
-
Out of acacia wood.
-
Two cubits in length, a cubit in length, and a cubit and a half in height.
-
Overlaid in gold and make a molding of gold around it.
-
Rimmed a hand width around and overlaid in gold.
-
With four gold rings fastened on all for corners of the table,
-
With poles made out of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.
-
The poles will be placed through the gold poles for transportation.
-
With plates and dishes made of gold for the incense.
-
With flagons and bowls made of gold for drink offerings.
-
With the Bread of Presence that is to made for God regularly.
The Golden Lampstand
Exo 25:31-40
-
You will make a lampstand out of pure gold
-
It will be all hammered out.
-
The base, stem, cups, calyxes, and flowers will be all one piece with the lampstand.
-
There will be six branches going out of its sides: three branches out of one side and three branches out of the other side
-
Three cups made like almond blossoms: each with calyx and flower, on one branch, and three cups made like almond blossoms, each with calyx and flower, on the other branch
-
There will be six branches going out of the lampstand.
-
On the lampstand itself there will be four cups made like almond blossoms, with their calyxes and flowers
-
A calyx of one piece with it under each pair of the six branches going out from the lampstand.
-
Their calyxes and their branches will be one piece with it, the whole of it a single piece of hammered work of pure gold.
-
You will make seven lamps for it, and the lamps will be set up so as to give light on the space in front of it.
-
Its tongs and their trays will pure gold.
-
All of the utensils will be made out of a talent of pure gold.
-
Make them after the pattern for them, which is being showed to you on the mountain.
