The people of Israel commemorated the Covenant between them and God by give a burnt offering to God. Moses sprinkled the blood on all of Israel to make a blood covenant.

Afterword, Moses took Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel up the mountain to worship God. Going up the mountain there was pavement under the feet of Moses made of Sapphire just like it would be in Heaven. At the top of the mountain there was a cloud that appeared. God told Moses to go into the cloud on the seventh day.

On the seventh day of the cloud, Moses told the people he took with him to stay where they were, but he will take his assistant, Joshua, with him into the cloud as God commanded. Moses left Aaron and Hur in charge of the group while they went into the cloud. At the foot of the mountain, the Israelites saw a big cloud of fire at the top of the mountain.
