The Monk in a Saffron Robe

Updated on November 4, 2013

Lay down the saffron robe

And drink the sand .

Feel the inadequacy of the earthly life.

The absence of true leadership

Marks the degradation of humankind.

Inspire the minds of a fallen people

Let them rise in their fractured dignity

Sadness follows their shadows.

They need a leader who leads.

A strong mind with compassion

Gentleness that silence their weeps

And rest their scarcity to sleep.

Broken integrity deadened

They belong to the crying willows.

Hopes and longing beguile

The rhythm of their shattered dreams .

Many souls had been battered

Wounded by relentless mortals.

They've walked long roads,

Crossed rivers wide with no feet.

Hope was their light

Dead dreams were their strife.

Give them life, give them peace

Kindness ,give them with bliss.

They've suffered quite a bit,indeed.
