The Easy Way to Street Witness
Jesus Loves You......
He That Wins Souls is Wise
If you are a born-again believer, you have a mandate to tell others about the reason you got born again. Often believers become self-conscious about sharing their faith with strangers. But, when you think back on your personal experience with the Lord, how He has impacted your life and those around you, a new desire to share His love with others should rise within your heart.
Some of us were in awful situations, our minds were confused, our hearts devastated by emotional dynamite, our bodies sick, in pain or addicted. Still others of us can testify of coming from loving two or one parent homes. We grew us confident and secure yet still lacking a sense of completeness. With all the love we received and the comfort we enjoyed, it was still there, that undeniable empty spot.
Regardless of the state we were in when we received Jesus, we all were so very, very glad that He came into our hearts. We all can remember our particular experience. As we relish in the memory, the thought should come to let others know of the love of God and how freely it is given.
Matthew 28:18-20,- :18 And Jesus came and spake to them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. :19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: :20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and,lo, I am with you alway; even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Like it or not, this is a mandate from the Lord. Surely a small request in response to such a great sacrifice made on our behalf. Don’t you think?
Go ye into all the World....
You Mean Me? Yes, you.
He was talking to us, to you and to me. To new converts and to old converts, to male and female, unemployed and employed, to those who are in lack and to those who are in abundance, to believers in every nation and culture, every race and color. He told us that He wants us to go and when we go He would be with us always. We have no need to fear. This is His guarantee.
Our part is to go. We know that we have an adversary who trys to stop us on every hand. We also know we have power over the power of this adversary.
Look into your area of influence. Who do you see that needs the Lord? Are you intimidated by them or their status? Have you ever made your faith in Jesus Christ known to them? Don't be an under cover brother or sister. Let your light shine before all men.
The steps below will help you as you venture out to tell the world of the love God demonstrated to you by giving the life of His only begotten Son. I pray you are encouraged and enpowered to Go ye.....
It Is Not Hard...
- Remind yourself of God's love for you
- Tell yourself that Jesus is with you
- Confess that you are bold as a lion
- Ask the Holy Spirit to use you
- Get your bible
- Get some bible tracts if you can't find any make some
- Go outside
- Approach the first person that you see
- Greet them confidently
- Hand them a tract
- Work the following question into your conversation, "If you died right now, where would you go?"
- If they say to heaven, ask them how they know. What did they do to get saved?
- If they say they have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, tell them, "God Bless you." and go to the next person.
- If they say they don't know where they would go, or they aren't sure, tell them that today they can know for a certainty according to God's Word.
- Tell them that through one man [Adam] sin passed onto all mankind. Romans 5:12
- Tell them that this sin separated mankind from God.
- Tell them that there is nothing ayone can do by themselves to remove this sin or to reconnect themselves to God. Acts 4:10-12
- Tell them that Jesus Christ came to earth to destroy the power of sin and to reunite mankind with God. John 3:16-17
- Tell them that salvation is a free gift. Good works cannot save you. You must receive the gift. Ephesians 2:8-9
- Tell them that there is no assurance in their feelings. Following the Word of God guarantees salvation. 2 Corinthians 5:7
- Tell them what Romans 10:9-10 says, That if you say with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and if you believe in your heart He [Jesus] was raised from the dead, you will be saved. :10 For with the heart man believes unto righteousness [right standing with God] and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
- Ask them if they want to confess Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.
- If they say no, ask once again. If they persist tell them that Jesus loves them, thank them for their time and move on. {remember to pray for them in your prayer time, don't worry if you forget their name-God knows who they are}
- If they say yes, they want to receive, ask them to repeat this prayer after you:
Dear God,
I come to you recognizing that I am a sinner in need of salvation. I confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, I believe that He died for me and that He rose from the dead. Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Savior. I receive you now therefore, I am now saved. Thank you Father for your grace.
- Pray for their spirit, soul and body along with any need they may have shared with you
- Send them to a Bible Believing church if they don't already attend one
- Give them the scriptures that you used [make copies and carry them with you]
- Tell God "thank you" and move onto the next person
What to do when you are done
As soon as you are done, pray. Thank God for what He has done through you and ask Him for His complete protection over the attack of the enemy on the new believer. Ask Him to restore your strength and rebuke the devourer for your sake. Go home, get something to eat, and get some rest. You just punched a big hole in the devils kingdom. Never forget, witnessing is warfare.
Don't forget to stay under the covering of your local church and your pastor.
Heaven rejoices over the souls that come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.Luke 15:6-7. And of course, ...he that wins souls is wise. Proverbs 11:30.
God bless you
