The Wonder Questions

The world is full of pain, disaster, diseases, poverty, death, among other calamities and this often challenges the world to wonder where to turn and run for love and peace,it makes the world to ask if God really loves and cares about them. All these questions were answered at the cross when God sacrificed His son so the world may be saved and have hope of salvation and a new world of no more pain,no more disease or even death, a world where aging will have no space, disability will be extinct. that is the Godly love that answers the many questions being asked in time of hardship!

What Is Love?

Love is a strong affection towards someone or something, in 1st Corinthians 13, Paul clearly highlights what love is, he clearly states:

  • love is patient

  • love is not jealous

  • love does not boast

  • love is not proud

  • love is not rude

  • love is not selfish

  • love is slow to anger

Love despises evil but rejoices in truth and good deeds

No matter how much knowledge one can get in the bible and one does not show love to others. then that knowledge is nothing. Christians should love indeed and in truth because no matter how much power of manifestation of God's gift they have, without love those gifts are worthless even to the eyes of God.

Ways Christians Can Express Godly Love

There are several ways Christians can show Godly love, some of these ways include,

  1. Being generous:

Christians should show Godly love by being generous to others both spiritually and physically.

Jesus is the hope and Christians should let others know that Jesus loves them, and by sharing this hope, they show Godly love to the hopeless.

Christians should carry each others burdens, it's the law of Christ and shows Godly love. (Galatians 6:2 NIV)

  2. By forgiveness:

Through the death of Christ, God showed His love for the world, even though the world was sinful God loved the world still.

Christians should emulate this act by forgiving those that wrong them.

  3. Imitating Christ Through Sacrifice:

As Christ sacrificed Himself for service of others, Christians should show that Godly love by following the example of Christ, that is, humble themselves and serve others, showing love and tending to the need of others. (Ephesians 5:1,2 NIV)
  4. Being peace makers:

Those who bring peace are blessed, and God will call them his sons, (Matthew 5:9)

Christians should be peace makers and bring together those who are in conflict and this shows Godly love towards them.
  5. Loving one another as brothers and sisters in Christ:

Believers should love one another to show others that they are Christ's disciples (John 13:35 NIV)

The world looks to the church for love, so if the church goes against each other then they seize being the icons of peace and love, hence loosing discipleship.

Christians have to show the world love, by caring for the needs of others including those of the non-believers.

Love Being The Greatest

Apostle Paul says that as much as faith, hope and love are important, love is the greatest of them all.

Therefore Christians should be imitators of Lord Jesus, showing love to others and most of all, loving God with all their hearts, soul and all their mind, indeed as true followers of Jesus Christ. God did love the world that He gave his son to the world (John 3:16 NIV), He already set an example for the world to follow `and Christians must also show their love in action.

The engine that can drive this world to be a place of peace and joy is by spreading the news of Godly love! the love of Jesus Christ.
