The Harvest Festival/Lunar Shadows
The Harvest Festival: A Gathering Of Pagans was on the 17th and 18th. My circle family (their coven is called "Circle Of Coyote") was one of the vendors there. They make clothes for all sorts of people, wands, hats, wings, dolls, puppets, ect. They are really good at what they do. Anyway I had a BLAST! Linda's daughter Morganna, her friend Katrina and I were dressed up as belly dancers. We made all of our costumes in like 2 days and we came up with a dance to perform at the festival.
On Saturday we got there real early so we could put everything up and practice our dance. We were supposed to have another friend dance with us, but he couldn't make it. It really was bad because he was supposed to bring plugs and an amp player for us to use. We decided to ask the staff if we could use some power for my stereo. One of the nice guys let us perform in front of everyone. We were really nervous, but once we started to dance we were really good. Morganna's dad Shawn introduced our group "Lunar Shadows" and he took some amazing pics of us dancing. When we got done dancing everyone was yelling and cheering us on.
On Sunday we couldn't perform in front of everyone again because the guys who let us do it got in trouble because our group wasn't on the schedule. So we ended up just chilling in the canopy. Helping Linda and Shawn with the customers. An hour before the festival was about to end our coven did a ritual on saying goodbye to summer. They did an amazing job! There were so many people who came and participated. It was awesome.
Overall the weekend was amazing! Our coven did a really good job with selling a lot of items. My dance group "Lunar Shadows" did a hell of a job dancing on Saturday. The three of us are truly serious about belly dancing. We hope to debut at the Faerie Festival next year. More to follow.
